Bawadi Clings on at Expense of Vieira

Level 14 : 4,000/8,000, 0 ante
Joao Vieira (in a previous event)
Joao Vieira (in a previous event)

Jason Bawadi had around eight big blinds at the start of hand and opened to 8,000 blind on blind, versus Joao Vieira. Vieira defended and they saw a flop of {6-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}.

Bawadi bet 4,000, Vieira raised, Bawadi three-bet, Vieira four-bet and Bawadi five-bet for 20,000, which Vieira called.

On the {8-Hearts} turn, Bawadi got the last 3,000 in and after Vieira called, they turned over {a-Spades}{a-Clubs} for the all-in player and {7-Spades}{8-Spades} for Vieira who had picked up two pair on the turn.

The {6-Spades} river counterfeit Vieira's two pair, giving Bawadi a better one and he doubled, whilst Vieira was down to two big blinds.

Just a couple of hands later, Vieira got the rest of it in but couldn't spin it up and busted in 27th place.

Erickson Claims the Chip Lead

Level 14 : 4,000/8,000, 0 ante

Charles Tucker raised on the button and Erickson three-bet in the small blind. Tucker called.

The flop came {q-Spades}{q-Hearts}{7-Spades} and Erickson bet. Tucker called and the same action happened on the {6-Clubs}t urn.

A {8-Spades} completed the board and Tucker called a third barrel from Erickson, but mucked when the latter turned over {8-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} for a full house.

Shiu Raises Erickson

Level 14 : 4,000/8,000, 0 ante

Millie Shiu and Kevin Erickson were facing a flop of {3-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{k-Clubs} and Erickson bet 8,000 into the pot. Shiu had position and raised to 12,000, which Erickson called.

The turn was the {q-Diamonds} and Erickson check-called Shiu's 8,000 bet, taking them to the river. It was a {2-Clubs} and once again Erickson check-called an 8,000 bet. He mucked when he saw Shiu held {k-Spades}{q-Spades} for top two pair.

The Bubble Bursts

Level 14 : 4,000/8,000, 0 ante
James Little (in a previous event)
James Little (in a previous event)

In what must surely be a contender for the fastest bubble ever, two players were eliminated in the same hand, on different tables, effectively sharing the bubble. It all happened so fast that there was no time to announce hand-for-hand and players didn't realize they had made the money until the floor announced it.

Sadly for James Little, he was one of those two and won't be taking home a share of the prize pool, as they were simultaneously eliminated in 31st and 30th places. Everyone else has secured themselves at least $4,571 for the mincash.

The river was the {k-Clubs} and Chebotarev led out with a bet. Mueller called and Chebotarev snap-mucked his hand.
