Klatt Five-Bet Jams

Level 16 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Scott Bohlman made it 16,000 in the cutoff, Andreas Klatt reraised to 60,000 out of the small blind and Michael Gagliano cold four-bet to 160,000 from the big. Bohlman folded after a minute or so and Klatt announced he was all in.

Gagliano asked for a count and Klatt started the hand with 447,000. Gagliano gave it a minute and then decided to let it go.

Tom Doubles Through the Chip Leader

Level 16 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Philip Tom shoved all in for 80,000 from the cutoff and Michael Gagliano called from the small blind.

Tom: {8-Spades}{8-Clubs}
Gagliano: {q-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}

It was a flip for Tom's tournament life, and he was able to improve on the flop after the board came down {a-Clubs}{j-Spades}{9-Spades}. The turn was the {6-Spades} and the river was the {a-Diamonds} to send Tom the double before the dinner break.

"The food's gonna taste a bit better now," smiled Tom.

Vonk Runs into Blades

Level 16 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Alexandru Papazian raised to 16,000 under the gun, Kevin Gerhart flatted in the hijack, Bob Slezak overcalled on the button and Marcel Vonk found a good spot to shove around 135,000 from the big blind. Papazian called and the remaining players folded.

Unfortunately for Vonk, his {9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} trailed Papazian's {a-Spades}{a-Clubs} and the {7-Hearts}{j-Spades}{7-Spades}{4-Clubs}{a-Hearts} board confirmed his elimination.

Big Blind Special for Nikita Luther

Level 16 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Nikita Luther
Nikita Luther

James Mackey raised to 18,000 from the cutoff and Nikita Luther thought for a moment before shoving all in for 75,000 from the big blind. Mackey snap-called.

Luther: {k-Clubs}{2-Clubs}
Mackey: {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs}

Luther was at risk and well behind, but the flop came {a-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{3-Spades} and she picked up a flush draw to go with her over card. The turn was the {3-Clubs} and Luther make the nuts to secure the double. The dealer completed the board with the {8-Diamonds} and shipped the pot to Luther.

Brammer Eliminated by Garcia

Level 16 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Cord Garcia opened to 20,000 from early position and Chris Brammer moved all in for 118,000 from late position. Garcia called.

Brammer: {k-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}
Garcia: {a-Clubs}{q-Hearts}

Brammer was dominated, but that all changed when the flop came {j-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{9-Clubs} to give him the nuts. Unfortunately for him, the turn was the {k-Spades} and Garcia made a bigger straight. The river was the insignificant {5-Spades} and Brammer was eliminated in 24th place.

Werthmann Doubles Through De Silva

Level 16 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Upeshka De Silva opened the action preflop and Thom Werthmann three-bet. De Silva four-bet shoved and Werthmann snap-called.

Werthmann: {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}
De Silva: {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds}

The flop came {k-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{3-Hearts} and Werthmann flopped top set to take an even more commanding lead. He put out a fist pump just before the {8-Diamonds} hit the felt to lock up the pot before the {a-Clubs} came on the river.

Ponzio Eliminated by Zhang

Level 16 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Ben Ponzio was all in for his last five big blinds and he ran with {a-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} into the {a-Spades}{10-Spades} of Haixia Zhang.

The board of {j-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{2-Spades} didn't give Ponzio anything and he wished the table good luck before he headed to the payout desk.

Level 16 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
