Nitsche Doubles Through Chen

Level 17 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Dominik Nitsche shipped all in for 610,000 from the hijack and James Chen gave it some thought from the cutoff. Chen eyed up the size of the all in and then made the call.

Dominik Nitsche: {a-Spades}{q-Diamonds}
James Chen: {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}

The flop of {q-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} gave Chen an extra out despite Nitsche flopping a pair. The {8-Clubs} on the turn gave Chen even more outs but the {10-Hearts} paired the board on the river and Nitsche secured a double up.

Becker Runs Into Kurganov's Big Slick

Level 17 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Johannes Becker opened to 125,000 from under the gun and Igor Kurganov stuck in a three-bet on his left. The action folded back to Becker who four-bet shoved all in and Kurganov snapped him off.

Igor Kurganov: {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}
Johannes Becker: {a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}

The flop fell {k-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{j-Spades} giving both players a pair, Kurganov with the higher of the two. The {4-Hearts} and {8-Clubs} runout could not help Becker and he was eliminated. The final 24 players will now redraw for seats at the final three tables.

Boivin Scores Huge Pot with a Set of Aces

Level 16 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Daniel Negreanu opened to 110,000 in early position and Thomas Boivin stuck in a three-bet to 300,000 from the cutoff. Bryn Kenney slid out a four-bet to 635,000 from the small blind which got Negreanu to fold. Boivin just called and the two players saw a flop of {a-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{6-Clubs}.

Both players checked and the {8-Spades} landed on the turn. Kenney led out for 345,000 this time and Boivin called to see the {j-Clubs} on the river. Kenney checked this time and Boivin reached back for a bet of 1,255,000, leaving just 5,000 behind.

Kenney used up two of his time extension before making the call. Boivin tabled {a-Spades}{a-Clubs} for a set of aces and Kenney released his cards.
