Martin Turns a Set

Three players headed to a flop with just under 5,000 in the middle. The flop came {5-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{2-Spades} and Kevin Martin checked from the small blind. Justin Wright bet 2,500 from the big blind and the player on his left called along with Martin.

The turn was the {9-Clubs} and Martin checked again. Wright fired out another 15,000 which got the player on his left to fold but Martin called. The river was the {8-Diamonds} and Martin checked again. Wright flicked in a bet of 25,000 and Martin responded with a quick call. Wright showed {a-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} for a missed straight draw while Martin held {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds} for a set of nines.

Action picked up with the board reading {5-Spades}{7-Hearts}{6-Spades}{9-Hearts}. The first player to act bet 6,500 into two opponents, the first one folded and Javier Etayo called. The river was the {q-Hearts}. The player quickly moved all in and was immediately called by Etayo who had {6-Hearts}{5-Hearts} for the flush.

The player who had moved all in showed {10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} for the losing hand.

After the player had walked away a few of the players at the table were confused "Was he bluffing?" they wondered.
