Action folded to Phil Hellmuth in the cutoff and he decided to make it 2,000 to go. Kou Vang was on the button and three-bet to 6,500 out of a stack of 45,000. Hellmuth called, having started the hand with 60,000, and the two players saw a flop of {10-Spades}{9-}{6-}.

Both players checked to the {6-Spades} on the turn and Hellmuth fired out a bet of 9,000. Vang called and the dealer completed the board with the {7-}. Hellmuth immediately moved all in, putting Vang to the test for his remaining 29,500. Vang snap-called, revealing Hellmuth's {5-Hearts}{3-Hearts} for five high. Vang tabled {k-Spades}{9-Spades} for two pair nines and sixes and picked up a double-up.
