Nano Hits a Runner-Runner Straight to Eliminate Radzivonau

Level 11 : 1,200/2,400, 2,400 ante
Kiryl Radzivonau (earlier this summer)
Kiryl Radzivonau (earlier this summer)

Kiryl Radzivonau raised to 5,500 from the cutoff and Tzenato Nano three-bet to 14,500 in the small blind. The big blind folded so action was back on Radzivonau who shoved. Nano snap-called.

Kiryl Radzivonau: {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs}
Tzenato Nano: {a-Clubs}{q-Hearts}

The flop came {4-Spades}{10-Spades}{9-Spades} which didn't change things as neither had a spade in their hand.

The turn was the {8-Clubs} which meant that Nano picked up a gutshot to a straight.

The river was the {j-Clubs} to give Nano a straight indeed. Nano's stack was counted first and the dealer confirmed Nano had 78,200 behind. Radzivonau counted out his own stack and saw he was covered as he had 76,100 in total. No more main event for the Belarusian player here in Las Vegas as he made his way out of the tournament area.

Buonanno Shoves Out Gottlieb

Level 11 : 1,200/2,400, 2,400 ante

On a board reading {10-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{3-Clubs} and a large pot of over 125,000 in the middle already, Antonio Buonanno asked to see the remaining stack of Tom Gottlieb. He peered around the dealer to look and counted out his opponents remaining stack. After a few moments he announced all in to force Gottlieb to the test. Gottlieb folded his hand fairly quickly and Buonanno pulled in a nice pot.

Loni Harwood
Loni Harwood

Franco Spitale raised to 5,500 from middle position, Loni Harwood three-bet to 19,000 from the hijack and the player on the button four-bet to about 30,000 (not enough, so a min-raise to 32,500 was enforced).

Spitale folded, Harwood four-bet to effectively 99,100 and the button called all in with {a-Clubs}{a-Spades}, leading Harwood's {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs}.

The board came down {k-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}, no help to Harwood, sending the pot her opponent's way.

Garcia Doubles Through Baksi

Level 11 : 1,200/2,400, 2,400 ante

Paul Baksi raised to 7,000 from mid-position and was called by Albert Balayn in the small blind. Ethiel Garcia shoved from the big blind for 37,800 and Baksi contemplated his options for a while. In the end, Baksi shoved too. Balayn asked for a count and the dealer confirmed Bakso had 126,200 in total. Balayn took a few seconds, looked at his cards once more before getting out of their way.

Ethiel Garcia: {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}
Paul Baksi: {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs}

The board ran out {4-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{a-Spades} for Garcia to hold with the bigger pocket pair to double up.

Esposito Folds to Hammett's Shove

Level 11 : 1,200/2,400, 2,400 ante

Scott Hammett squeezed to 25,000 from the big blind and the action was on John Esposito in the small blind. Esposito had flatted a 5,500 raise and it wasn't clear who had raised as the opener had folded by the time the action was picked up, and the initial raise had been pulled towards the pot.

Esposito called to see the {9-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} flop which was checked by both players.

The {10-Spades} turn saw Esposito bet 30,000 and Hammett counted his stack before he moved all in for 91,100. Esposito tanked for two minutes, but he wasn't able to find a call. He let his hand go and continued with 89,000.

Zyrin Gets the Read

Level 11 : 1,200/2,400, 2,400 ante
Anatolii Zyrin, in an earlier event.
Anatolii Zyrin, in an earlier event.

Anatolii Zyrin was tanking from middle position on a board of {q-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{10-Spades}{10-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}. He was facing a bet of 80,000 from Rok Gostisa, an overbet into about 55,000. He thought for a couple of minutes, studying Gostisa and then the board.

"If you put like 50K, I fold," Zyrin said with a smile. "But now..."

He looked every which way for a read, even leaning back and peeking under the table to get a look at Gostisa's feet. Finally, he dropped in a calling chip. Gostisa opened {k-Spades}{8-Spades} for a missed draw and Zyrin showed {q-Hearts}{j-Clubs}.

"Was it the shoes?" someone joked.
