Moneymaker Won't Be Winning Another Main Event

Level 18 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Chris Moneymaker
Chris Moneymaker

Chris Moneymaker's first Main Event cash since winning it in 2003 won't be anywhere close to what he might have been hoping for at the start of the day. Moneymaker was seen shaking hands at his table, with the ESPN camera crew also swarming the table at the same time. Unfortunately for Moneymaker, he fell at the hand of Ron West who was kind enough to relay what had happened:

Moneymaker had raised from the middle position with {q-}{j-} and West called on the button with {10-}{10-}.

The flop came {k-}{10-}{3-} with two clubs, Moneymaker check-shoved for around 250,000 when West had continued with a bet of 37,000 and West called.

No further help came on the board for Moneymaker and the former Champion was sent to the payout desk.

Bohlman Doubles Up

Level 18 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Scott Bohlman
Scott Bohlman

Scott Bohlman was getting his stack counted out after doubling up through Jasper Meijer van Putten.

Scott Bohlman: {k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}
Jasper Meijer van Putten: {j-Spades}{j-Hearts}

The board was {2-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{2-Spades}{q-Diamonds}.

"That last card was a sweat with the paint?" someone said at the table.

"It was," said Bohlman. "I couldn't properly see it."

Bohlman now sits on well over a million in chips.

Bithell Moving On Up

Level 18 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Oliver Bithell has had a successful first couple of levels on Day 4, increasing his stack to over the 2 million mark. Since coming back from the latest break, Bithell is showing no signs of slowing down as he just picked up another pot.

Bithell opened to 20,000 in the cutoff and the big blind called. The flop came {8-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{4-Spades} and the big blind checked to Bithell who continued for 18,000. His opponent check-raised all in for around 150,000 and Bithell snap-called.

Oliver Bithell: {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}
Opponent: {a-Clubs}{7-Hearts}

Bithell got it in with the goods but his opponent held one overcard and a straight draw. The {6-Diamonds} paired the board on the turn and the {9-Hearts} bricked the river as Bithell eliminated his opponent and stacked even more chips.

Aces for Brokos

Level 18 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Dapeng Mu raised to 26,000 and Andrew Brokos in the big blind three-bet to 100,000, which Mu called. On the {10-Spades}{4-Clubs}{3-Hearts} flop, both players checked and Brokos check-called a bet of 100,000 on the {4-Diamonds} turn.

The {j-Hearts} river was checked and Brokos tabled aces to win the pot.

In the meanwhile, Kathy Liebert has been eliminated in a three-way all in and headed out of the Gold section.
