Level 16 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Daiva Byrne ended up all in with {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts} against the {k-Clubs}{k-Diamonds} of Michael McKenna and the flop brought {k-Spades}{q-Hearts}{8-Clubs} to improve McKenna, two blanks followed on turn and river.

Molly Mossey also headed out of the Amazon Gold section and she was followed by Jordan Kaplan, who put his hopes on eight-nine suited. Davies' Run Comes To an End

Level 16 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Scott Davies started the day with just 15,000 in front of him and according to a person on the rail had doubled up three times already. He was all in from early position for 95,000 and Timothy Dix had called from the hijack. Ronnie Pasztor was in the big blind and re-shoved for around 375,000, sending Dix into the tank. After over two minutes, Dix let his hand go and Davies was in a heads-up situation with an opportunity to triple up.

Scott Davies: {a-Hearts}{10-Hearts}
Ronnie Pasztor: {j-Clubs}{j-Hearts}

The board ran out {q-Hearts}{3-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{4-Diamonds}, resulting in Davies drawing dead by the turn and his opportunity to run up a stack 15,000 into around 300,000 in the first half hour of the day was denied, ending his run in the tournament.

The Younger Hachem on the Rise

Level 16 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Daniel Hachem
Daniel Hachem

While the "Hachem" name is well-known around the world after Joe Hachem captured the 2005 WSOP Main Event title, it is not him making noise at the 2019 World Series of Poker. His son, Daniel, has been playing poker for a few years now and is starting to run up a stack in the Main Event as he hopes to follow in his father's footsteps.

Adam Dipasquale opened to 18,000 in middle position and Daniel Hachem three-bet to 45,000 in the hijack. The action folded back to Dipasquale who made the call. The flop fell {7-Spades}{5-Hearts}{5-Clubs} and Dipasquale check-called a bet of 40,000 from Hachem.

The turn was the {10-Hearts} and both players checked to the {9-Hearts} on the river. Dipasquale checked again and Hachem dropped in a bet of 75,000. Dipasquale thought it over but decided to send his cards to the muck.

Huffman Eliminated After Eye-Catching Flop

Level 16 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Greg Huffman open-shoved for his last 65,000 from under the gun. Seth Anirudh asked for a count and just called, with the remaining players folding.

Greg Huffman: {a-Hearts}{7-Hearts}
Seth Anirudh: {k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}

Huffman had what seemed like a king-cracking hand, and the ace in the window certainly helped. A second ace further behind improved him to trip aces but the full flop came {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}{k-Spades} giving his opponent a full house.

The turn was the {2-Clubs} and the river the {9-Diamonds} and Huffman was eliminated.

"If you guys were deep-stacked you would have gotten it in too," said someone, offering Huffman the tiniest crumb of comfort as he headed to the payout desk.

Deuces Never Lose for Joeckel

Level 16 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Jordan Joeckel had shoved from the early position for 89,000, Luther Tran called in the hijack, and action folded to Galen Hall in the small blind who three-bet to 255,000. The big blind and Tran both folded so the cards could go on their backs.

Jordan Joeckel: {2-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}
Galen Hall: {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}

The flop came {3-Spades}{q-Hearts}{10-Spades} for Hall to stay ahead with the higher pocket pair.

The turn was the {2-Spades} for Joeckel to turn a set but it also gave Hall some extra outs to a flush.

The river completed the board with the {q-Spades} which gave Hall a flush but as it paired the board, Joeckel improved to a full house to stay alive and double up.
