Level 19 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante
Kelly Minkin
Kelly Minkin

The first 12 minutes of Level 19 are over and the screens show 550 players remaining. They have been sent on a 90-minute dinner break until 9 p.m. local time and will return to blinds of 8,000/16,000 with a big blind ante of 16,000.

Another former WSOP Main Event champion has departed and some recent highlights from the tables can be found below:

551st - 562nd Place Finishers

Level 19 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Each of these players earned $24,560 for their Main Event finishes.

Romano Hits the Payout Desk

Level 19 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

David Pecheur raised to 37,000 from under the gun and was called by the button. Jay Romano three-bet shoved all in for 485,000 in the big blind and Pecheur came over the top for 1,014,000. The button thought for a couple of minutes before finally folding.

David Pecheur: {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}
Jay Romano: {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}

Romano was fighting an uphill battle and the flop of {j-Spades}{4-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} provided no help. The {8-Hearts} on the turn left Romano drawing dead to the {2-Diamonds} on the river and he was eliminated.

Parkes Calls Five-Bet Shove; Eliminates Opponent

Level 19 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Thomas Parkes raised under the gun and the player in the hijack three-bet to 72,000, the action folded to Jaspal Brar who took some time in the big blind before mucking his hand and Parkes four-bet to 225,000. The opponent wasted no time announcing he was all-in for roughly 1,000,000 and Parkes practically beat him in the pot.

Thomas Parkes: {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts}
Opponent: {a-Spades}{k-Spades}

Parkes was in great shape and the flop came {q-Hearts}{10-Spades}{5-Hearts} meaning he only had to dodge a jack, and he did just that when the board completed {4-Diamonds} on the turn and the {8-Hearts} on the river.

Johnny Chan
Johnny Chan

Action for an all in and a call were announced on a flop of {2-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{6-Hearts} and Johnny Chan was all in with {8-Spades}{8-Hearts} from early position versus the {9-Hearts}{4-Hearts} of big blind Eric Froehlich.

Though Chan had a pair of eights, Froehlich had eight outs to a flush and three more to a straight. He filled up on both of them when the turn and river fell {k-Hearts}{5-Clubs}, locking in the win for "EFro" by the turn as Chan's Main Event bid was terminated right before the dinner break.

Assorted Big Stacks At Dinner

Level 19 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

"That Was a Beautiful Turn Card"

Level 19 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

The board read {8-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{7-Hearts} and Mans Montgomery was in the process of scooping in the pot with his {9-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} tabled. His opponent's losing hand of {a-Hearts}{8-Hearts} was still tabled as well.

According to the table, the hand got all in on the turn. Meanwhile, Montgomery got about one-third of the way through stacking his newly collected chips.

"That was a beautiful turn card. I'll go to dinner now," he said and got up and walked away. It appears as if he has around 1.7 million, though that number will be confirmed after the dinner break.

Michael Vo: {q-Clubs}{j-Clubs}
Joseph Cheong: {a-Hearts}{10-Spades}

The board ran out {4-Spades}{9-Clubs}{9-Spades}{2-Clubs}{6-Hearts} for Cheong to hold with the higher hole cards to eliminate Vo just before the dinner break.
