Joyce Triples Up; Gierse Busts

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 160 ante
Gierse eliminated
Gierse eliminated

The action started with a raise to 4,569 by "elgranmosta2" from under the gun and Marius Gierse three-bet to 12,800 on the button. Toby "shinerrr" Joyce then four-bet jammed for 48,220 and the initial raiser jammed, which Gierse called for the 53,156 he had behind his three-bet.

Toby "shinerrr" Joyce: {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs}
Marius Gierse: {q-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}
"elgranmosta2": {k-Hearts}{k-Spades}

On a board of {9-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}, Joyce nailed the river to triple up while Gierse was eliminated.

"EviL GrannY" Is Drawing Dead

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 160 ante
Zeiter vs EviL GrannY
Zeiter vs EviL GrannY

Diego "Ushuaia1" Zeiter raised to 3,360 from under the gun and was called by "EviL GrannY" in the early position and Luigi "shadinho94" Shehadeh in the big blind.

The flop came {5-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{j-Clubs}, it was checked to "EviL GrannY" who bet 7,144 which only Zeiter called.

The turn was the {2-Hearts}, Zeiter checked again. "EviL GrannY" shoved for 23,297 and was called by Zeiter with the bigger stack.

"EviL GrannY": {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}
Diego "Ushuaia1" Zeiter: {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}

The river completed the board with the {8-Diamonds} as a formality as "EviL GrannY" was drawing dead already.

Micon Falls to Wisbrod

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 160 ante

Barak "LuckySecret" Wisbrod made it 3,360 to go and picked up one caller. Bryan "Macallan18" Micon then three-bet jammed for 20,256 out of the big blind and Wisbrod reraised to isolate.

Bryan "Macallan18" Micon: {7-Hearts}{7-Spades}
Barak "LuckySecret" Wisbrod: {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}

The {6-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} flop spelled trouble for Micon and the {q-Diamonds} left him drawing dead, which made the {5-Hearts} on the river a formality.

Registration Closed

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 160 ante

The late registration period has now officially closed which means that Day 1b attracted 171 players with just over five levels left to play before the remaining players can "bag" up their chips for Day 2. Together with the entries of Day 1a, there were 417 in total for the Main Event here on GGPoker with one more starting flight taking place at 6 p.m. GMT on Sunday, December 6.

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 160 ante

Simon "FiestaPagana" Mattsson made it 3,520 to go and was called by Rodrigo "sauvage" Valente on the button.

The duo opted to check the {10-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{5-Diamonds} flop and Mattsson then bet the {5-Hearts} turn for 5,767, which Valente called. On the {10-Clubs} river, Mattsson bet 17,035 into 22,414 and Valente eventually folded.

Top Twenty Chip Counts After the Break

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 160 ante

Zerjav Among the Big Stacks

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 160 ante

Brazil's "elgranmosta2" had rivered a straight with {k-Spades}{q-Diamonds} to crack the {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts} of Oliver Weis and sent the German to the rail. By then, Blaz Zerjav was already the chip leader on the table and the Slovenian further increased his stack soon after.

Zerjav's raise was three-bet to 15,200 by Adrian Mateos and the call followed to provide a flop of {q-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{2-Spades}. Mateos bet 10,772 to pick up a call and bet again for 34,292 on the {6-Spades} turn, which Zerjav called once more. Mateos then checked the {5-Clubs} river and folded to a shove by Zerjav.

Garbi Spikes Another Double; Then Busts Stevens

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 160 ante

Per "Nick_Carter" Karlsson hit a two-outer to double through Ravid "jerbi9999" Garbi, who was left with a chip and a chair. However, two double ups later the WSOP Online bracelet winner remains in contention as he also doubled through "ddasd82".

Ravid "jerbi9999" Garbi: {a-Clubs}{q-Spades}
"ddasd82": {a-Spades}{7-Hearts}

The board ran out {6-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{4-Clubs} and the kicker played.

Two hands later, Bert Stevens then got it in preflop from the button and Garbi called out of the big blind.

Bert Stevens: {q-Spades}{9-Hearts}
Ravid "jerbi9999" Garbi: {k-Clubs}{k-Spades}

The board brought no sufficient help for Stevens as it ran out {10-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{9-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}.

Reijmer Among the Next Casualties

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 160 ante
Reijmer eliminated by Rebello
Reijmer eliminated by Rebello

After conceding yet another double, Daniel "zafjekis" Reijmer eventually jammed his short stack in from the cutoff and was called by Olivier "BigPapyBoss" Rebello on the button.

Daniel "zafjekis" Reijmer: {q-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}
Olivier "BigPapyBoss" Rebello: {a-Hearts}{k-Spades}

Neither player connected with the {3-Spades}{3-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{4-Clubs} board and that spelled the end for Reijmer.
