Sabogali Takes Out Shorr With Straight Over Straight

Level 11 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Alberto Sabogali raised to 5,500 pre-flop and Shannon Shorr defended his big blind.

The flop came {8-Hearts}{9-Spades}{6-Diamonds} and both players checked.

Shorr led out for 4,000 on the {j-Clubs} turn and Sabogali called.

The river came the {10-Spades} and Shorr slowed down with a check. Sabogali bet 50,000, covering Shorr's remaining stack, and Shorr made the call after considering for a minute.

Sabogali showed {k-}{q-} for the king-high straight, while Shorr flashed a {7-} for a lower straight to hit the rail.

Eight-time WSOP Circuit ring winner Roland Israelashvili was eliminated on the same table the next hand. Darren Elias, who was sitting to Shorr's immediate right, is still there with 180,000.
