Csata Sends Polcer Home With Rivered Straight

Level 20 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Picking up the action on a flop of {4-Spades}{9-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} and 120,000 in the middle, Benjamin Polcer bet 45,000 from the cutoff and Marcell Csata called from early position.

Csata took the lead on the turn with a bet of 50,000 and Polcer quickly called. When the {3-Hearts} fell on the river, Csata moved all in, covering Polcer's remaining 275,000.

Polcer considered the decision for several minutes, asking to see Csata's stack and how many players are remaining. He eventually called but was shown the bad news when Csata turned over {6-Spades}{5-Hearts} for the rivered straight. Polcer showed {a-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} for a pair of sevens.

"Good game, guys," Polcer said as he got up from the table.

"I got lucky on that one," Csata said as he stacked up Polcer's chips to move up to 1,180,000.

Schnellenberger Doubles Through Harmon

Level 20 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Bryce Schnellenberger got it in for the last 195,000 and Wayne Harmon in the big blind asked for a count before glancing back on the tournament info screen. He then made the call and the cards were flipped over.

Bryce Schnellenberger: {a-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}
Wayne Harmon: {q-Spades}{j-Hearts}

The {q-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{2-Clubs} flop propelled Harmon into the lead but the tides changed once more with the {a-Spades} turn. What followed was the blank {8-Hearts} on the river and Schnellenberger doubled.

Caputo Busts Lauper, Avoids Penalty

Level 20 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Brandon Caputo
Brandon Caputo

Sean Lauper moved all in for his last 395,000 from under the gun. Brandon Caputo in middle position thought it over for a few moments before announcing a call.

Before big blind Markus Gonsalves could act, Caputo exposed his {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades}. Gonsalves quickly mucked, and Lauper turned over {8-Spades}{8-Clubs}.

Caputo flopped a set on a board of {a-Hearts}{q-Spades}{4-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} to bust Lauper. After the hand, the tournament floor was called over. Gonsalves argued it was just a mistake by Caputo and he shouldn't be penalized, and the floor let Caputo off.
