Shalom Hits the Miracle

Level 6 : 300/600, 600 ante

Ainav Shalom was all in with a short-stack on a board of {a-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}. She held {j-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} for trips, but her opponent had her crushed with {a-Clubs}{a-Spades} for the flopped full house.

Down to one out heading to the river, Shalom got it with the {8-Clubs} to make quad eights and secure the double up as several players at the table took out their phones to take pictures of the miracle board.

"She deserved a little luck," said a tablemate.

Rubin Nearly Triples

Level 6 : 300/600, 600 ante

Ryan Rubin was involved in a three-way pot where all three players were all in before the flop. His opponents showed {a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} and {a-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}, while Rubin was looking for help with {8-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}.

"Ten, ten, ten," said the player with A-10 as the dealer spread the flop of {k-Spades}{8-Spades}{3-Hearts}, giving Rubin a pair of eights and the lead. He remained ahead on the {2-Diamonds} turn and {6-Spades} river.

The player with A-10 was eliminated, while Rubin doubled up through the player with A-J.

"I figured they both had an ace. I only had 10 left with 1,200 in," Rubin said as the big pot was pushed in his direction.

The turn {7-Clubs}. McMillan checked and his opponent bet enough to McMillan all-in and he called.
