Leng Good at Showdown Without Showing Down

Level 6 : 400/800, 800 ante
Ryan Leng
Ryan Leng

Ryan Leng opened to 2,400 in early position and Dario Sammartino called in the big blind.

Sammartino checked on the flop of {k-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{q-Spades} and Leng checked back, and the same action took place on the {k-Spades} turn.

Sammartino led out with a bet of 4,000 on the {2-Clubs} river and Leng quickly called. Sammartino conceded the pot to his opponent and mucked, and Leng raked in the pot without having to reveal his hand.

Shafikov Put to the Test

Level 6 : 400/800, 800 ante

On a completed board of {q-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} and 13,000 already in the pot, Denis Shafikov bet 7,500 and his opponent shoved for 17,700.

Shafikov thought it over before tossing his cards into the muck.

Shorr Loses Some Chips

Level 6 : 400/800, 800 ante

Shannon Shorr was in position in a heads-up pot and called a flop bet of 1,000 on a board reading {j-Spades}{a-Spades}{8-Diamonds}.

The opponent fired a bet of 4,500 on the {9-Clubs} turn and Shorr again called. The opponent fired once more with a bet of 8,000 on the {3-Clubs} river and Shorr laid it down.

Sannino Busts Gumz

Level 5 : 300/600, 600 ante

On a flop {2-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{3-Clubs} with a pot already containing around 20,000, Diminick Sannino sent a bet worth 7,000 and Fabian Gumz thought about his move for a minute before shoving for a stack approaching 40,000. It was snap-called by Sannino who had him covered:

Fabian Gumz: {k-Hearts}{k-Spades}
Dominick Sannino: {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}

The rest of the board didn't help Gumz with a {j-Hearts} turn and a {8-Clubs} and Sannino took down the pot.

Bad Timing for Calamusa

Level 5 : 300/600, 600 ante
Pierre Calamusa
Pierre Calamusa

Deividas Daubaris raised under the gun and Pierre Calamusa decided to three-bet to 21,000. It came back to Daubaris who tanked for a minute and sent a four-bet worth 21,000. Calamusa took a minute and ended up moving all-in for a stack of around 30,000. It was snap-called by Daubaris with a bigger stack:

Pierre Calamusa: {k-Diamonds}{k-Spades}
Deividas Daubaris: {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}

Calamusa was in terrible shape for a double up and found no miracle on a board {10-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{6-Hearts} to be eliminated from the event.
