Jamie Sequeira Eliminated in 8th Place ($41,132)

Level 27 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante
Jamie Sequeira
Jamie Sequeira

Conrad Simpson open-shoved a stack of 435,000 from early position and Qing Liu flat-called on the button. Jamie Sequeira then re-shoved his stack of 1,800,000 and Liu folded.

Conrad Simpson: {k-Hearts}{q-Clubs}
Jamie Sequeira: {10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}

It looked like an elimination for Simpson when the board came out {5-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{2-Spades}{j-Clubs} but the {q-Hearts} peeled off on the river and Simpson tripled.

The Day 1 chip leader was eliminated shortly after that when he called off on a board of {8-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{a-Clubs} when Alexandre Reard raised to put him all-in.

Jamie Sequeira: {j-Hearts}{8-Hearts}
Alexandre Reard: {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs}

Sequeira had a pair and a flush draw while Reard had top pair. The river brought a non-heart low card and Sequeira was sent to the rail in eighth place.

Reard Raises River

Level 27 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Alexandre Reard raised to 225,000 from the button and Jamie Sequeira called in the big blind.

On the {3-Spades}{a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} flop, Sequeira check-called a bet of 130,000 from Reard.

"How much?" asked Sequeira on the flop "That's not enough I'm going to call every time."

Sequeira led on the turn {q-Clubs} for 200,000 and Reard made the call.

The river was the {a-Spades} and Sequeira fired 400,000 more.

Reard cut out a stack of 1,025,000 and Sequeira instantly folded.

Reard Finds a Double Up on Simpson

Level 27 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Conrad Simpson opened to 250,000 in the cutoff and it folded to Alexandre Reard in the big blind who decided to shove for a total of 2,185,000. Simpson quickly called with a higher stack to see the following showdown:

Alexandre Reard: {a-Hearts}{k-Spades}
Conrad Simpson: {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}

It was a typical flip situation, and the cards went in favor of Reard with a board {3-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{8-Clubs}, giving him a pair of kings on the turn for the double up while Simpson chipped down to 450,000.

Simpson Doubles on Strelitz

Level 27 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Daniel Strelitz opened to 200,000 and it folded to Conrad Simpson in the big blind who solemnly announced "I would to raise with all my chips!" for a stack worth 1,260,000. Strelitz made the call and the cards were tabled.

Conrad Simspon: {8-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}
Daniel Strelitz: {5-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}

The board {j-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{k-Hearts}{q-Spades}{q-Clubs} brought no surprise to Simpson who took down the pot and the double up.

Sequeira Heats Up

Level 27 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante
Jamie Sequeira

Ren Lin opened to 220,000 in early position and Jamie Sequeira flat-called on the button. Darren Grant then three-bet to 600,000 in the small blind and Lin folded, while Sequeira called.

"Canadian against Canadian," Sequeira said headed to the flop of {j-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}, which checked through.

Sequeira bet 200,000 on the {4-Clubs} turn and Grant called. Sequeira fired a similar-sized bet on the {10-Spades} river and Grant mucked.

Sequeira showed {7-Diamonds}{7-Spades} and called for a vodka soda and he raked in the pot.

"That is how you play poker at a final table!" he yelled.

Salim Admon Eliminated in 9th Place ($31,905)

Level 26 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante
Salim Admon
Salim Admon

Daniel Strelitz opened on the button to 160,000 and Alexandre Reard folded while Salim Admon decided to make the call.

The flop fell {8-Spades}{2-Spades}{j-Hearts} and Admon check-called Strelitz's continuation bet for 125,000. The same action happened on the {2-Hearts} turn, this time for 250,000.

A {k-Clubs} was dealt on the river and Admon announced all in for a stack of 645,000. "What the hell?" said Strelitz, who considered his options for a minute and made the call.

Admon showed {k-Hearts}{10-Hearts} for kings but Strelitz revealed {k-Diamonds}{q-Clubs} for kings with a queen-kicker and eliminated Admon from the tournament.
