Earlier this year he tweeted out that he would be playing "a few select tournaments" during the 2021 World Series of Poker.

The action was picked up on the flop of {6-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} and defending champion of this event Howard Mash was all-in.

Kathy Liebert quickly made the call and a player behind tanked briefly before he also made the call to put Mash at risk.

The turn was the {3-Spades} and both Liebert and the other player in the pot checked to the river which was the {9-Hearts}.

The river was also checked through and Liebert showed {8-Spades}{8-Hearts} her opponent showed {j-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} and Mash showed them both the bad news with {4-Hearts}{5-Spades} for the two-pair and the best hand to scoop in the pot.

Buckner Nearly Doubles

Level 2 : 100/200, 200 ante

The hand was discovered on a completed board of {5-Spades}{5-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{8-Diamonds} with Steve Buckner who had moved all-in which sent his opponent deep into the tank.

"You can rebuy in this event, right?" asked Buckner. "It's okay," he said with a chuckle. "It's just another thousand."

As it turned out, Buckner had his opponent slightly covered.

After Buckner's speech and a few minutes in the tank, his opponent opted to call and was shown the bad news and the exit after Buckner tabled {k-Clubs}{j-Spades} for a full house, kings full of fives, and was awarded the pot.
