Proscia Puts Opponent to the Test

Level 5 : 300/600, 600 ante

There was heads-up action between Gennaro Proscia from under the gun and the button player with a completed board of {3-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{5-Clubs}{4-Clubs} showing.

With over 40,000 already in the middle, Proscia bet 80,000, putting his opponents stack at rick. After some time in the tank, Proscia's opponent mucked their hand giving him the pot.

Heath Plays It Safe With Kolev

Level 5 : 300/600, 600 ante
Ben Heath
Ben Heath

Ryan Laplante raised under the gun to 1,500 and was called by Ben Heath from the cutoff before Boris Kolev three-bet to 6,000 from the button.

The blinds folded and Laplante followed but Heath called bringing action heads-up to the {6-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{8-Clubs} flop.

Both players checked and then did the same after the {8-Diamonds} paired the board on the turn.

After the {j-Clubs} completed the board on the river, action went check-check and Heath rolled over {6-Clubs}{5-Clubs} to win the pot with two-pair.

Vieira Goes Deep Into Tank And Calls Jam From Imsirovic

Level 6 : 400/800, 800 ante
Joao Vieira
Joao Vieira

Before the blinds went up and with a {10-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{4-Clubs} flop and about 35,000 in the pot, Ali Imsirovic checked in the big blind, Joao Vieira bet 12,500 from the hijack, and Imsirovic raised to 25,000 in the big blind. Vieira called.

The {7-Diamonds} came on the turn and Imsirovic jammed, putting Vieira to the test for his 45,000 stack. Vieira went deep into the tank and eventually, the clock was called him. As the tournament director counted down the final seconds, Vieira threw chips in to signify the call.

Imsirovic first showed only an eight, which prompted Vieira to show only a king before the players fully revealed their cards.

Joao Vieira: {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}
Ali Imsirovic: {a-Spades}{8-Spades}

Vieira needed to fade straight outs and an ace, and the {3-Spades} completed the board to send him the sizable pot.

Gallaher Loses Race to Grafton

Level 6 : 400/800, 800 ante
John Gallaher
John Gallaher

The player under the gun raised to 1,800 and Sam Grafton three-bet to 9,000 from the small blind.

Action was on John "Johnny Run Good" Gallaher who four-bet to 24,000 from the big blind and the initial raiser folded while Grafton five-bet jammed.

Gallaher called off his 75,000 stack and the two players tabled their hands.

John Gallaher: {q-}{q-}
Sam Grafton: {a-}{k-Clubs}

It was a classic race with Gallaher in the lead with his made hand of queens and nothing changed after the {7-}{5-Clubs}{2-Clubs} flop.

The turn came the {9-Clubs}, giving Grafton more outs with the club flush draw and he connected with the {k-Diamonds} river, eliminating Gallaher from the tournament.
