Gunchev Doubles Over Big Slick

Level 5 : 300/500, 500 ante

A player in the hijack opened to 1,200, the button called, and Nikola Gunchev jammed for 17,400 in the small blind. The hijack called and the button folded.

Nikola Gunchev: {q-Spades}{j-Spades}
Hijack: {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}

Gunchev had live cards and jumped ahead on the {q-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{6-Spades} flop. The {9-Diamonds} turn left him just needing to fade an ace or a king, and the {6-Hearts} river confirmed his double.

Hong Gets Opponent to Tank-Fold

Level 4 : 200/400, 400 ante

Kevin Hong opened to 1,100 in the cutoff and the button raised to 3,600. Hong called.

The {10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} flop saw Hong check-call a 3,000 bet and the {q-Spades} turn saw him check-call a 6,000 bet.

The {q-Hearts} completed the board and after Hong checked, his opponent bet 7,200, leaving himself only 5,100 behind. Hong jammed to send his opponent deep into the tank. Eventually, the clock was called, and his opponent flashed the {k-Diamonds}{k-Hearts} before tossing them into the muck.

"How can he fold?" Hong asked.

Level 4 : 200/400, 400 ante
Everett Carlton
Everett Carlton

Everett Carlton was involved in a three-way pot with the board already showing {7-Spades}{6-Clubs}{3-Spades}.

A player in the big blind bet 600 and action was Carlton from the cutoff position.

Carlton raised to 2,100 and a player on the button quickly mucked. The big blind tanked before mucking his hand and Carlton then scooped in the pot.

Weymouth Triples

Level 4 : 200/400, 400 ante

Julien Weymouth got the rest of his 10,100 stack in preflop against the hijack and the cutoff.

Julien Weymouth: {a-Clubs}{j-Spades}
Hijack: {a-Spades}{k-Spades}
Cutoff: {10-Hearts}{10-Spades}

The {q-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} flop put Weymouth ahead, the {8-Clubs} turn changed nothing, and the {j-Diamonds} river improved Weymouth to trips and confirmed his triple up.
