Bleznick, Negreanu Chop Up Song

Level 17 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Daniel Negreanu
Daniel Negreanu

Daniel Negreanu and Jared Bleznick limped in before Michael Song moved all in for his last 35,000. Adam Hendrix and Dan Cates called from the blinds, as did Negreanu and Bleznick.

The flop came {a-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{k-Hearts} and Negreanu bet 100,000. Only Bleznick called to see the {3-Hearts} turn, when Negreanu bet another 350,000.

Bleznick again called, then both players checked the {3-Spades} river.

Negreanu showed {q-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{7-Spades} and Bleznick {q-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{j-Clubs}{5-Clubs} for the same straight. "Straight is good," Song said, tapping the table and making his exit from the tournament.

Seiver Eliminates Crivello

Level 17 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Scott Seiver
Scott Seiver

[Removed:508] moved all-in preflop in a heads-up pot against Scott Seiver on a flop of {q-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}. Seiver called with his opponent well-covered.

[Removed:508]: {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{5-Clubs}
Scott Seiver: {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}

Crivello was ahead with aces, but the turn brought the {k-Diamonds} to catapult Seiver into the lead. The {8-Spades} on the river didn't change things and Crivello was sent to the rail in brutal fashion.

Sinn Shoves, Aleksandrovski Uses Time Chips

Level 17 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Heads-up on the turn with the board showing {j-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{5-Spades}{10-Clubs}, Charles Sinn bet 150,000 from the button. Alex Aleksandrovski was in the small blind and used a time chip before calling.

The river came the {a-Diamonds} and Aleksandrovski checked. Sinn shoved all in for 350,000 and sent Aleksandrovski deep into the tank. After nearly two minutes and three time banks, Aleksandrovski eventually folded.

Deeb Doubles In Set Over Set Hand

Level 17 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Sean Deeb
Sean Deeb

Shaun Deeb opened to 35,000 in the cutoff and Cliff Josephy and Ka Kwan Lau both called.

Deeb bet 150,000 when checked to on the flop of {q-Spades}{10-Hearts}{5-Spades} and Josephy raised to around 400,000. Lau folded and Deeb moved all-in. Josephy called with Deeb covered.

Shaun Deeb: {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{6-Hearts}
Cliff Josephy: {j-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{10-Spades}{8-Diamonds}

Deeb had a set of queens while Josephy was drawing very thin with a set of tens. Deeb maintained the best hand after the {a-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} runout and doubled up, while Josephy was left with mere crumbs.

"Nothing you can do there," Deeb told his opponent sympathetically.

Hellmuth Gets It In Far Behind

Level 17 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Alex Aleksandrovski raised to 40,000 and Ben Lamb called. Phil Hellmuth then raised to 180,000, Aleksandrovski potted, Lamb folded, and Hellmuth called all in for 285,000.

Phil Hellmuth: {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{8-Spades}{4-Spades}
Alex Aleksandrovski: {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}

"Nice hand, buddy. I'm in bad shape," Hellmuth said after seeing Aleksandrovski's aces. Lamb expressed surprise at Hellmuth's hand.

"I was going for it," Hellmuth replied.

The {3-Spades}{8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} flop improved Hellmuth to trip eights, and he stayed ahead on the {4-Diamonds}{2-Spades} turn and river.

"I had no idea you could get it in that bad in PLO," tablemate Chance Kornuth said after the hand.

Schwartz Doubles Through Negreanu

Level 16 : 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante
Noah Schwartz
Noah Schwartz

Dan Cates opened the pot with a raise to 45,000 from the button and Daniel Negreanu called from the small blind. Noah Schwartz, in the big blind, re-raised to 180,000. Cates quickly folded, but Negreanu called.

"Good luck, Noah," Negreanu said.

"I would say the same, but you're not really the guy I want to beat me," Schwartz replied.

The flop came {3-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{j-Clubs} and Negreanu bet 80,000. Schwartz called all in with {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}, while Negreanu showed {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{9-Spades} for an inferior two pair.

The board ran out {6-Clubs}{8-Clubs} and Negreanu handed over the double-up to Schwartz.

Hendrix checked a third time on the {2-Clubs} river and Bleznick checked back. Hendrix tabled {a-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{7-Hearts} for a pair of aces and took down the pot.
