Hawkins Wasn't Bluffing, Still No Good

Level 2 : 200/300, 300 ante
Maurice Hawkins

Prince Cassell limped in from early position and Asvin Ganesh also called from the small blind. Maurice Hawkins then checked his option and they saw the flop {4-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{8-Hearts}.

Ganesh led for 500 and only Hawkins called. The turn was the {a-Hearts} and Hawkins called a bet of 1,300 from Ganesh.

On the river {5-Clubs}, Ganesh slowed down with a check, Hawkins bet 3,000 and Ganesh flicked in a call.

Hawkins turned over {4-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} for two pair, but Ganesh had a better two pair with {8-Spades}{4-Hearts}.

"I wasn't bluffing," said Hawkins with a smile.
