Level 8 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Alemu Makonen
Alemu Makonen

A player raised in early position and John Dombroski jammed for his entire stack of 15,100 on the button. Alemu Makonen made the call from the big blind and the original raiser folded.

John Dombroski: {a-Spades}{q-Diamonds}
Alemu Makonen: {7-Spades}{7-Hearts}

It was a race and the flop came {9-Hearts}{6-Spades}{3-Clubs}, with no help to Dombroski. The board completed with the {j-Spades} on the turn and the {k-Spades} on the river for Makonen's pair of sevens to hold and Dombroski exited the tournament room.

Level 8 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Barry Greenstein
Barry Greenstein

With about 70,000 in the pot and a completed board of {j-Spades}{5-Clubs}{3-Spades}{4-Clubs}{q-Clubs}, an early position player checked, Barry Greenstein bet 30,000 in middle position, and the hijack folded. The early position player pondered his options for over a minute, before putting in a stack to call.

Greenstein flipped over {a-Clubs}{j-Clubs} for the nut flush and his opponent mucked as there was no hand he could have that would beat it.
