Armstrong Up Early

Level 11 : 1,200/2,400, 2,400 ante

Benjamin Armstrong was heads-up from the hijack on a board of {6-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{5-Spades} against one player from middle position. Armstrong had a 60,000 bet in front of him and his opponent called after some thought.

The {3-Spades} completed the board and both players checked.

Armstrong immediately tabled {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds} and his opponent mucked, which got a "Phew!" out of Armstrong as he dragged the pot.

Wigg Turns a Set

Level 11 : 1,200/2,400, 2,400 ante

A completed board of {j-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} was spread across the felt and Anton Wigg had a bet of 48,000 sitting in front of him. The pot had around the same amount in the middle and Daniel Sewnig had a decision to make.

A little over a minute passed and Sewnig finally threw in a call. Wigg turned over {8-Hearts}{8-Clubs} for a set of eights and that was good enough to earn him the pot.

Entine Doubles Through Kudo

Level 11 : 1,200/2,400, 2,400 ante

Oliver Entine raised to 41,000 from early position, leaving 2,400 behind. Mikiya Kudo put 55,000 out and created some confusion because it was not a full raise. The floor manager was brought over to see if Entine's last 2,400 had action and if Kudo made an allowable raise.

The action was ruled a raise and Entine called his last 2,400.

Oliver Entine: {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades}
Mikiya Kudo: {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}

The board ran out {3-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} and the aces held to secure an important early double for Entine.
