Foutty Makes Correct River Call

Level 17 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Steve Foutty
Steve Foutty

Steve Foutty was facing a river shove from Jeanphilippe Goulet-Ratelle on a wet board of {3-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{8-Spades}{7-Spades}{9-Spades}. The shove looked to be for about 150,000.

Foutty called after a few moments. Goulet-Ratelle started to stand up and tabled the {q-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}, while Foutty showed the {a-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} for the two-pair winner and bust his opponent.

Thomas Escapes From Morgan's Aces

Level 17 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Russell Thomas opened to 20,000 from under-the-gun and John Morgan three-bet to 75,000 from directly behind. Action folded back around to Thomas, who went into the tank.

"I have such a good hand," Thomas said. "But I'm gonna lay it down." Thomas then folded.

"And I'm gonna show you," Morgan replied as he tabled {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts} and collected the pot.

Spragg Calls Kanchi Down

Level 17 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Marle Spragg was heads-up from the hijack against Ranganath Kanchi in the big blind on a {5-Spades}{8-Spades}{2-Clubs}{j-Hearts} board.

Kanchi bet 50,000 and Spragg called.

The {8-Diamonds} completed the board and Ranganath Kanchi fired again — this time for 105,000. Spragg tossed in a call and Kanchi tabled {a-Clubs}{3-Clubs}.

Spragg revealed {j-Spades}{7-Spades} for jacks and eights, which was enough to drag the pot.
