Shack-Harris Stacking Big After Busting D'Angelo

Ryan D'Angelo had a raise of 5,000 in front of him from the button, while Brandon Shack-Harris in the small blind had splashed in enough red 5,000 chips to put D'Angelo all in for his last 28,000.

D'Angelo spent several minutes in the tank before calling, but he gave out a disappointed groan when Shack-Harris turned over 9-8-7-5-3 to win the pot and built a chip lead-contending stack just before the break.

Lang Has Distenfeld Drawing Dead

Mike Lang and Gershon Distenfeld already had the rest of Distenfeld's 12,500 in the middle heading for the draw. Lang had 9-7-6-5-4.

"I'm drawing dead," Distenfeld said before even getting his new cards, showing a 10-low.

"No rebuys. I'm off until tomorrow," he said as his tournament came to an end.

According to the table, Distenfeld had four-bet shoved before the draw, Lang had re-shoved, and the player on the button folded.

Golden Nugget to Host $1,100 Buy-In, $1,000,000 GTD PokerNews Cup June 24-28

This summer, Golden Nugget Las Vegas will play host to the 14th Annual Grand Poker Series, which features 81 events and offers over $3 million in guaranteed prize money from May 31-July 3. One of those events is the $1,100 buy-in, $1,000,000 Guaranteed PokerNews Cup that will run from June 24-28.

The tournament will feature three starting flights beginning with Day 1a at 11 a.m. PT on Friday, June 24. Days 1b and 1c will take place at the same time on Saturday, June 25, and Sunday, June 26 respectively. The surviving players from each flight will return at Noon on Monday, June 27 to play down to the final table, which will play out at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, June 28.

Ramos Takes From Zhu

Felipe Ramos raised to 1,500 in the cutoff and was called by the button and Yueqi Zhu in the small blind.

Each player drew one and after the draw, it was Zhu leading out for 3,300.

Ramos called and the button folded.

Matusow Barrels Into Three Players

Four players, including Mike Matusow and Frank Kassela, each put in 1,200 before the draw. Matusow stood pat, Kassela and a middle position player took two, and the player on the button took one.

Action checked to Matusow after the draw and he fired out a bet of 5,000. The middle position player quickly folded, while the button took his time before also deciding to fold. Kassela gave up his cards as Matusow showed a 9-7 to take down the multi-way pot.

"Against three players and two-card draws, I'm not checking that," Matusow said.

"I didn't even want to call," Kassela added after the hand.
