Richey, Rotholz Eliminated

Level 12 : 1,500/3,000, 0 ante

Razz

Brett Richey: {6-}{a-} / {5-}{a-}{4-}{j-} / {k-}
Andrew Kelsall: {7-}{6-} / {a-}{5-}{5-}{8-} / {k-}

Brett Richey committed his final few chips on sixth street and needed help against Andrew Kelsall's eight-seven.

Richey could not improve on his final card, ending his run just before the final break of the night.

At a nearby table, Hal Rotholz was all in with {a-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} against {q-Hearts}{q-Spades}. The runout of {10-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{2-Hearts} was no help, and his night also came to an early end.

Lu Holding His Own at "Tough Table"

Level 12 : 1,500/3,000, 0 ante

2-7 Triple Draw

"Tough table," a player said looking around at his tablemates, including defending champion Ryan Leng, Player of the Year Robert Campbell, Brazilian star Yuri Dzivielevski, and Kyle Montgomery.

David Lu, who says he has never played 2-7 before, raised before the draw, then called when Leng re-raised to 4,500.

Both players checked until the third draw as each took one. Lu checked to the champ who threw out a bet of 3,000. Lu called.

"A pair of sixes," Leng said before Lu showed {j-}{6-}{5-}{3-}{2-}.

"That beats a pair of sixes," Leng added before giving up the pot to the newcomer on this table full of stars.

Bohlman Takes Down a Raised Pot

Level 11 : 1,200/2,400, 0 ante

Razz

Scott Bohlman: {x-}{x-}/{3-}{6-}{4-}{10-}
Ari Engel: {x-}{x-}/{8-}{10-}{k-} - folded
Opponent: {x-}{x-}/{4-}{q-}{q-}{j-} - folded

An opponent completed before Scott Bohlman raised. Ari Engel called Bohlman's bet and the original better put in a re-raise.

Both Bohlman and Engel called as they went three-ways to fourth street. Bohlman bet out and both opponents called. A bet on fifth was enough to get rid of Engel, but the other opponent stuck around.

Bohlman bet again on sixth. "Alright," his opponent said as he quickly mucked his board full of face cards.
