Deeb Busts McGowan, Then Gives Him a Lesson

Level 18 : 6,000/12,000, 0 ante

Pot-Limit Omaha

Jonathan McGowan defended his big blind against a raise from Shaun Deeb and saw a flop of {2-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{4-Spades}.

McGowan checked, then potted all in when Deeb bet. "I have no pairs," Deeb said as he called.

"I have a pair," McGowan said, showing {k-Hearts}{j-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}. Deeb had {a-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}.

The {j-Diamonds} turn gave Deeb a flush as McGowan was left drawing dead by the {q-Diamonds} river.

"He decided to check-pot instead of lead. You have to lead if you have the blockers. I thought you knew how to play," Deeb told McGowan as the two of them burst out laughing.

Bolden Busts, Shulman Takes from Campbell

Level 18 : 6,000/12,000, 0 ante

2-7 Triple Draw

Gary Bolden: {6-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{2-Hearts}
Robert Campbell: {9-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}
Jeff Shulman: {8-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{2-Clubs}

Robert Campbell called a raise from Jeff Shulman, which Gary Bolden also called to put himself at risk.

Campbell drew one and Shulman took two, while Bolden drew four. Campbell's bet was called and he patted, while Shulman drew one and Bolden asked for three.

Campbell bet again, and Shulman called to take one. Campbell patted again, while Bolden drew three.

Both Campbell and Shulman checked, with Shulman turning over his eight-seven while Campbell had patted a nine-eight.

They both looked over at Bolden, who was live to his final card but paired up to end his run.

Arieh Shoves the Turn

Level 18 : 6,000/12,000, 0 ante

No-Limit Hold'em

Three-handed on a flop of {4-Spades}{7-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}, Brandon Shack-Harris bet 6,500 from the cutoff before Nicolas Lacroix raised to 22,500 in the big blind.

Josh Arieh called in early position as Shack-Harris got out of the way. Lacroix checked the {9-Spades} turn before Arieh pushed a tower of red 5,000 chips forward, putting Lacroix all in.

Lacroix quickly folded as the pot was pushed to the reigning Player of the Year.

Bai Draws Well to Take Out Harder

Level 18 : 6,000/12,000, 0 ante

2-7 Triple Draw

Richard Bai three-bet from the cutoff and received calls from Christian Harder in the big blind, Sokchheka Pho under the gun, and Ian Johns in early position.

Harder and Bai took one while Pho and Johns drew two, and Bai bet. Harder raised, Pho called, Johns got out of the way, and Bai called.

Harder stood pat while his opponents both took one. He bet and got two callers. Pho took one as Bai tanked for about a minute before also drawing one. Harder again patted.

Harder and Pho checked and Bai put out a bet. Now it was Harder's time to tank for a few minutes before committing his last 10,000. Pho quickly folded.

Bai showed {8-}{5-}{4-}{3-}{2-} to beat Harder's eight-seven-six and send him to the payout line.

Roeder Out-Kicks Herrin to the Rail

Level 18 : 6,000/12,000, 0 ante

Limit Hold'em

Christopher Herrin raised pre-flop before Ryan Roeder re-raised from the small blind. Herrin called and they saw a flop of {6-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{k-Spades}.

Roeder put out another bet and Herrin raised. Roeder re-raised and Herrin put in the rest of his chips.

Christopher Herrin: {k-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}
Ryan Roeder: {k-Clubs}{q-Spades}

Both players had flopped a pair of kings, but Roeder's queen-kicker was ahead. Herrin didn't get any help on the {a-Spades}{8-Diamonds} turn and river and made his way to the payout desk.

Bolden Makes "Big Fold", Then Doubles

Level 18 : 6,000/12,000, 0 ante

Limit Hold’em

Scotty Nguyen re-raised Gary Bolden, who counted out the rest of his short stack. "If you raise, you might as well put the rest in" said Nguyen, who flashed the {a-Spades} as Bolden mucked his cards.

On the very next hand, Bolden was raised by Jeff Shulman and committed his final few chips into the middle.

Gary Bolden: {k-Clubs}{k-Spades}
Jeff Shulman: {10-Hearts}{9-Clubs}

Bolden's pair of kings were ahead from the start, and had Shulman drawing dead on the turn. "See that big fold I made?" Bolden said to Nguyen, as he raked in the double up.

Vornicu Three-Bets, Then Draws Three

Level 18 : 6,000/12,000, 0 ante

2-7 Triple Draw

Action folded around to the blinds when David "Bakes" Baker raised, Valentin Vornicu re-raised, and Baker made it four bets.

Vornicu called and a collective murmur arose from the table when he took three. Baker drew one and put out a bet, only for Vornicu to come back with a raise.

Baker called and took one more, while Vornicu stood pat. Baker check-called a bet and took one again, with Vornicu standing pat.

A bet by Vornicu after the draw was enough for Baker to give up his hand.
