Park Shoves the River

Level 21 : 12,000/24,000, 0 ante

No-Limit Hold'em

Hye Park, a Main Event finalist last year, raised to 14,000 from under the gun and Valentin Vornicu called on the button.

The flop came {4-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{j-Hearts} and Park continued for 11,000. Vornicu called to see the {8-Clubs} on the turn.

Park slowed down and checked, allowing Vornicu to bet out 36,000. Park came back with a raise to 120,000 and Vornicu flicked in the chips to call.

The river came the {6-Diamonds} and Park pushed his stack forward, covering Vornicu's remaining 150,000. The WSOP circuit grinder spent a few minutes in the tank before uncapping his cards and sending them back to the dealer.

Condon Applies Pressure to Park

Level 21 : 12,000/24,000, 0 ante

Limit Hold'em

Joon Park raised from the button before Alexander Condon re-raised in the big blind.

Park called and proceeded to call bets on both the flop and turn as the board ran out {5-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}.

Condon bet again on the {10-Diamonds} river and this time Park folded his cards.

The next hand, Condon re-raised again after Park raised. The flop came {5-Hearts}{k-Hearts}{10-Clubs} and Park quickly got out of the way when Condon kept up the betting.

Abrams Avoids Betting into a Wheel

Level 21 : 12,000/24,000, 0 ante

2-7 Triple Draw

Scott Abrams raised and drew two after Shaun Deeb called to take three. Abrams then bet and drew one after Deeb called again and took two.

Another bet from Abrams was called as he patted, while Deeb drew one. Both players checked and Deeb quickly rolled over {7-}{5-}{4-}{3-}{2-} for a wheel, joking with Abrams about not getting one more bet on the table.

Panagiotou Forces Nguyen Out Again

Level 20 : 10,000/20,000, 0 ante

Seven Card Stud

Earlier, Menikos Panagiotou had gotten Scotty Nguyen to fold a flush on seventh street in a hand of Seven Card Stud. He just got the better of the Poker Hall of Famer once again.

Menikos Panagiotou: {x-}{x-}/{9-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{10-Spades}
Scotty Nguyen: {x-}{x-}/{10-Hearts}{q-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{8-Spades} - folded

Panagiotou bet on fourth street, then called when Nguyen raised. Panagiotou continued leading out on fifth, and this time Nguyen just called.

Panagiotou put out another bet on sixth and Nguyen went into the tank for nearly two minutes, looking back at his hole cards and eyeing Panagiotou's stack. He eventually slammed his chips down on his stack in frustration and gave up another hand to the Cypriot.

Bai Books Three-Quarters

Level 20 : 10,000/20,000, 0 ante

Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better

Yosif Nawabi and Richard Bai both called a raise from Scott Bohlman under the gun to see the {10-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{2-Clubs} flop.

Bohlman continued but folded after a raise from Nawabi and another from Bai. Nawabi called to the {j-Hearts} turn, where Bai had already bet by the time the card hit the table. Nawabi called again, and faced a similar bet on the {8-Hearts} river.

Another call from Nawabi had both players revealing their hands.

Richard Bai: {a-Spades}{10-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}
Yosif Nawabi: {a-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{4-Clubs}

Both players had matching low hands, while Bai had a set of tens for the high to take three-quarters of the pot.

Deeb Finds a Double

Level 20 : 10,000/20,000, 0 ante

Limit Hold'em

With around 100,000 in the pot, Shaun Deeb moved all in for his last 30,000 on a board of {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{5-Hearts}.

Matt Vengrin considered the decision for a moment before making a reluctant call. Deeb showed a {9-Diamonds}, followed by the {a-Spades} for two pair, aces and fives.

Vengrin had {3-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} and didn't get any help on the {q-Spades} river as Deeb doubled up.

Partin Takes from Arieh

Level 20 : 10,000/20,000, 0 ante

No-Limit Hold’em

Meikle Partin bet 25,000 on the turn of a {j-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} runout, and Michael Dobbs got out of the way. Josh Arieh made the call to see the {5-Diamonds} river.

Partin checked to Arieh, who also tapped the table. Partin turned over {9-Clubs}{8-Spades} for a straight on the turn, and Arieh mucked his hand.

Friedman Takes on the Chip Leader

Level 20 : 10,000/20,000, 0 ante

2-7 Triple Draw

Adam Friedman raised from under the gun as Thomas Brown defended his big blind.

Both players took two and checked before Brown drew one and Friedman two on the second draw.

Brown checked to Friedman, who put out a bet. Brown called and took one, while Friedman stood pat.

Brown checked again, but this time folded to a bet.

"I went from a seven-high straight to an eight-high straight. Then I made a pair of fours," Brown said.

"I could beat a pair of fours," Friedman replied.

Brown is down from his peak but still sitting comfortably among the largest stacks in the room.

Baker Scoops Double Knockout

Level 20 : 10,000/20,000, 0 ante
David "Bakes" Baker
David "Bakes" Baker

Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better

Joseph Weinberger and Kelvin Kerber were both all in on the flop against David "Bakes" Baker.

Joseph Weinberger: {a-Clubs}{q-Spades}{j-Clubs}{3-Hearts}
Kelvin Kerber: {a-Spades}{q-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{6-Clubs}
David "Bakes" Baker: {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{3-Spades}

The runout showed {k-Spades}{q-Hearts}{2-Clubs} leaving Baker ahead with top two pair, and the {2-Hearts} turn and {3-Diamonds} river changed nothing. Baker scooped the pot to eliminate both Weinberger and Kerber.
