Cornell Cracks Aces and Doubles Up

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

A player opened to 10,000 and Uri Reichenstein three-bet to 22,000 next to him. It folded to Tyler Cornell on the button who jammed for 116,000. The first player called and Reichenstein got out of the way:

Tyler Cornell: {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades}
Opponent: {a-Hearts}{a-Spades}

Cornell was in terrible shape for the double up but the board brought him {7-Spades}{q-Spades}{10-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{q-Hearts} to give him a straight on the turn and scoop the pot.

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Faraz Jaka
Faraz Jaka

The action folded to Faraz Jaka in the hijack who limped in for 4,000. Johan Guilbert called in the small blind and big blind checked their option.

The flop came {j-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} and Jaka bet 5,000 after being checked to by both players. Guilbert folded and the big blind came along.

On the {5-Hearts} turn the big blind checked and Jaka put the pressure on betting 25,000. The big blind took some time but in the end folded his hand awarding the pot to Jaka.

Baker Gets Value Against Waxman

Level 13 : 2,000/3,000, 3,000 ante

In a pot of roughly 25,000 on a flop of {q-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{2-Hearts} Kevin Baker bet 10,000 from early position and Matt Waxman made the call from the hijack.

The turn came the {j-Hearts} and both players checked. On the {6-Spades} river Baker bet out for 22,000. Waxman went deep in the tank but reluctantly made the call. Baker revealed {k-Spades}{q-Clubs} for top pair and it was enough to win the pot as Waxman mucked.

Reard Loses One

Level 13 : 2,000/3,000, 3,000 ante

On a board {q-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{8-Spades}{4-Diamonds} with four players involved, it checked to Alexandre Reard on the button who bet 16,000. Only the player in the cutoff decided to make the call.

The river brought the {4-Spades} and both players checked to reveal their cards. The cutoff showed {a-Hearts}{7-Hearts} for two pair and Reard quickly mucked.
