Zack Calls Salomon's River Bet

Level 8 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Rick Salomon raised to 40,000 from late position and Dan Zack made it 125,000 from the button. Masashi Oya called from the big blind and Salomon came along.

The flop was {7-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} and Oya bet 113,000. Salomon and Zack called and the turn was {8-Diamonds}.

All three players checked the turn and {2-Hearts} came on the river. Oya checked before Salomon fired 325,000. Zack called and Oya got away from it.

Salomon tossed his hand in the muck without showing and Zack picked up the pot without showing the winning hand.

Brewer Left Baffled

Level 7 : 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante

There was a board reading {k-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} spread across the felt with Nilesh Patel and Chris Brewer heads-up in a pot. Patel checked from the big blind and Brewer made a bet of 205,000 from the hijack. Patel check-raised to 575,000 and Brewer called.

Negreanu Capitalizes on the River

Level 7 : 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante

The action folded around to Alex Foxen in the small blind who just limped in and Daniel Negreanu checked his option. The flop came {a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{7-Spades} and Foxen led out with a bet of 25,000. Negreanu called and the {6-Clubs} landed on the turn.

Foxen fired out another bet of 80,000 on the turn and Negreanu still called. The {9-Spades} completed the board and Foxen checked this time. Negreanu put together a bet of 160,000 and Foxen decided to fold.

Foxen flashed an {a-} after the hand, trying to gauge if it was a good fold or not.

"An ace?" Negreanu joked. "How'd you find one of those?"

The action folded to Dan Smith on the button who made it 35,000 to go. Daniel Negreanu shipped all in for just less than 350,000 from the small blind and Smith snap-called.

Daniel Negreanu: {q-Spades}{10-Spades}
Dan Smith: {9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}

"We need to win a flip or else re-buy," Negreanu said as he pulled out his phone to film the hand.

"You get more chips if you re-buy," Smith pointed out.

The flop came {a-Spades}{9-Spades}{7-Diamonds} to give Smith a set of nines but Negreanu picked up a flush draw. The {6-Diamonds} on the turn also gave him a straight draw but the {2-Diamonds} bricked on the river.
