Aldemir Chips Up; Yockey Jams Up His Stack

Level 18 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Pot-Limit Omaha

In a heads-up pot to the {8-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} flop between Johannes Becker in the big blind and Koray Aldemir in the under-the-gun position, Becker opted to lead for 120,000 and Aldemir called. The {10-Clubs} turn was checked and Becker also checked the {6-Diamonds} on the river.

Aldemir carefully cut out a bet of more than 350,000 and the instant fold of Becker folded.

At the same time one table over, the turn showed {10-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{4-Spades} and Naoya Kihara checked in the big blind. Bryce Yockey bet 400,000 from under the gun and Kihara tanked for around a minute before he called. Kihara then checked the {10-Spades} on the river and Yockey jammed for the last 660,000 to force a reluctant call by Kihara.

Racener Wins Four-Bet Pot Without Showdown

Level 18 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Pot-Limit Omaha

Taylor Paur and John Racener were involved in a three-bet pot to the {8-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} flop on which Paur check-called 60,000 and then checked again the {4-Spades} turn. Racener bet 125,000 and won the pot.

Limit Hold'em

Racener then raised and Matthew Ashton three-bet only for Dan Cates to four-bet out of the big blind. He earned two calls and the {9-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} flop was checked to Racener, who bet and received two calls. On the {4-Spades} turn, Cates checked again and Racener bet to win the pot right there without any further resistance.

Gonzales Doubles Through Garza

Level 18 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Matthew Gonzales
Matthew Gonzales

Pot-Limit Omaha

Matthew Gonzales limped blind on blind and called a raise to 90,000 from Ap Garza.

The flop came {j-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{2-Clubs} and Gonzales bet 200,000 leaving himself 135,000 behind. Garza contemplated his decision, with Gonzales even throwing in the rest of his stack as a joke.

He then took the 200,000 and placed it in front of Garza's stack. Garza proceeded to pick the 200,000 chips up and add them to the stack and returned them to the pot along with 200,000 of his own, calling the bet.

The turn was the {q-Spades} and Gonzales put the rest of his 135,000 in. Garza called.

"Straight," said Gonzales showing {10-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{5-Clubs} and Garza showed {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}. The river {j-Spades} bricked and Gonzales doubled up.

Racener Faces Check-Raise

Level 18 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Pot-Limit Omaha

After John Racener raised on the button and Benny Glaser defended his big blind, the duo saw a flop of {4-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{a-Clubs}. Glaser then check-raised Racener's continuation bet of 80,000 to 250,000 and Racener called.

On the turn {6-Spades}, Glaser bet 370,000, which sent Racener briefly into the tank. After about a minute of deliberation, he opted to fold, keeping his stack above a million chips.

David "ODB" Baker Eliminated in 15th Place ($83,738)

Razz

David "ODB" Baker: {a-}{8-}/{7-}{q-}{j-}{k-}/{a-}
Koray Aldemir: {6-}{5-}/{j-}{3-}{9-}{3-}/{8-}

Koray Aldemir defended his bring-in to David "ODB" Baker's completion from his short stack.

On fourth street, Aldemir took the betting lead and Baker called.

Fifth street saw things get worse for Baker as he picked up another paint card, while Aldemir got a {9-}. Aldemir bet again and with just 170,000 left, Baker opted to continue on.

Sixth street paired Aldemir, and Baker's king wasn't exactly a help either, but he committed the last of his chips. Unfortunately for him, he was already drawing dead to Aldemir's jack low which improved to a nine on seventh street

Bohlman glanced at his card, had a dry smile on the face and exposed the case {a-Spades} as he made a full house ... in Razz, ending his tournament in 16th place for a payday of $83,738.

Cates Folds River to Paur

Level 17 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Taylor Paur
Taylor Paur

Omaha 8 or Better

Taylor Paur raised under the gun and was called by Matthew Ashton on the button and Dan Cates in the big blind.

On the {6-Hearts}{5-Spades}{3-Clubs} flop, Cates checked and Paur bet. Ashton folded, but Cates came along to see the turn.

The board paired with the turned {6-Spades}, and after Cates checked again, Paur bet once more. Cates again called to see the river.

Cates again checked on the {9-Clubs} river, then said "sheesh" as Paur put out another bet. Cates folded quickly and the pot was pushed to Paur as he moves back toward the three million chip mark.
