Kabbaj Binks the River Suckout

Level 6 : 400/800, 800 ante

John Kabbaj invested 15,000 on the {q-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} flop to then spike the {3-Spades} on the turn after which he got the chips in against his sole opponent. While spades may often be good here, they were not in this case as Kabbaj was shown the {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} for queens full.

The Brit tabled the {k-Spades}{k-Hearts}{6-Spades}{6-Diamonds} for kings up and nailed the {k-Clubs} on the river. "Sorry buddy," he said to the other player while Dominykas Karmazinas joked "well played John, don't do this to me please".

Fourie Doubles Through Deeb

Level 6 : 400/800, 800 ante

As players started leaving their tables for break, play continued with Shaun Deeb and Conrad Fourie.

Deeb bet 4,000 from the big blind on a {6-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} flop and was called by Fourie on the button.

On the {9-Hearts} turn, Deeb fired another 15,000 and was met by an all-in raise to 35,000 from Fourie.

Deeb called and the hands were turned over.

Conrad Fourie: {k-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{5-Hearts}
Shaun Deeb: {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}

Deeb's aces were ahead and he had a diamond draw as well, but the {5-Hearts} fell on the river, giving Fourie two pair to take the pot and double through Deeb.

Toma Among the Big Stacks in the Field

Level 7 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Tsugunari Toma has accumulated nearly four times the starting stack and recalled a hand in which he raised to 2,800 from under the gun with the {10-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}, picking up calls from the button and Laurids Nielsen in the big blind. On the {10-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} flop, Toma bet 5,500 for his two opponents to call and the {4-Hearts} followed on the turn.

Only the button called this time and the {9-Diamonds} river brought another bet worth 45,000 by Toma and the call as his full house extracted value. He has since lost some chips but remains among the big stacks heading into level seven.

Madsen Drops More

Level 7 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Jeff Madsen
Jeff Madsen

Jeff Madsen has seen half his stack disappear in the last couple of levels, including a chunk in this recent hand with Ronald Keijzer.

With approximately 12,000 in the pot on a turn board of {9-Spades}{2-Spades}{2-Clubs}{k-Spades}, Madsen led out from the small blind for 11,100.

Keijzer called and saw the {6-Diamonds} fall on the river. Madsen put out another bet, this time for 7,200, and he was met by an all-in raise from Keijzer for 21,400.

Madsen was visibly frustrated, shaking his head and flipping his hands as he pondered his decision before making the call.

Keijzer tabled {a-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{5-Hearts} for a flopped full house of nines over deuces. Madsen mucked his hand and sent another healthy portion of his chips to a different part of the table.

Sinn Felted by Haiduc

Level 7 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Charles Sinn
Charles Sinn

Charles Sinn limped in and then called a raise to 4,000 by Florin Haiduc, as did a third player in the hand that then got out of the way on the {8-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{5-Hearts} on which Sinn bet 5,000. Haiduc raised to 15,000 and Sinn called all in for around 14,300.

Charles Sinn: {a-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{8-Spades}
Florin Haiduc: {j-Hearts}{j-Spades}{8-Clubs}{7-Spades}

The {q-Clubs} turn and {3-Diamonds} river were both blanks and that spelled the end for Sinn.
