Baker Raises on Fifth

Level 8 : Limits 800/1,600, 200 ante

David "ODB" Baker: {x-}{x-}/{q-}{5-}{8-}{a-}/{x-}
First Opponent: {x-}{x-}/{9-}{3-}{a-}{k-}/{x-}
Second Opponent: {x-}{x-}/{9-}{7-}{k-}{10-} - folded

A player bet on fifth street and was called before David "ODB" Baker put in a raise. Both opponents called as Baker bet again on sixth.

That was enough to get rid of one opponent, but the other stuck around to seventh when Baker bet again.

"Okay, nice hand," his opponent said as he reluctantly called. Baker turned over {6-}{7-}{4-} for 7-6-5-4-A to win the pot.

Baker, who was twice made the final table of this event including a runner-up finish in 2017 and fifth place last year, has increased his stack today to around 70,000.

Treccarichi Eliminates Kelsall

Level 8 : Limits 800/1,600, 200 ante

Action was picked up on fourth street between Shaun Deeb, Andrew "A.J" Kelsall, and Walter Treccarichi.

Walter Treccarichi: {x-}{x-}/{6-}{5-}{7-}{q-}/{x-}
Shaun Deeb: {x-}{x-}/{k-}{8-}{4-} (Folded on fifth street)
Andrew "A.J" Kelsall: {x-}{x-}/{4-}{7-}{5-}{a-}{j-}/{x-}

Treccarichi bet and Deeb called while Kelsall raised. Treccarichi clicked it back and eventually he and Kelsall capped it with Deeb calling as well.

On fifth street Kelsall bet with Treccarichi calling and Deeb folded.

On sixth and seventh street, Kelsall bet, with seventh street putting Kelsall all in and Treccarichi shook his head. After some deliberation he called and Kelsall said "eight-seven," as he turned over {j-}{8-}{5-}. It was no good against Treccarichi who turned over {j-}{3-}{2-} for a seven-six and Kelsall wished his table mates luck as he left the tournament.

Anderson Tries to Trap Boyd

Level 8 : Limits 800/1,600, 200 ante

Calvin Anderson: {x-}{x-}/{10-}{q-}{a-}{6-}/{x-}
Dutch Boyd: {x-}{x-}/{2-}{4-}{a-}{k-}/{x-}

Calvin Anderson raised on third street, Dutch Boyd re-raised, and Anderson called. Boyd bet again on fourth and Anderson called.

Boyd hovered the chips for another bet over the felt before he even getting his next card, finally putting them down in the middle as Anderson called again. He did the same on sixth before being informed that Anderson was now first to act.

Anderson checked and Boyd bet, with Anderson calling after a brief tank before both players checked on seventh.

Boyd showed {9-}{9-}{j-}, while Anderson took the pot with {3-}{6-}{7-} for 10-7-6-3-A.

After the hand, Anderson's tablemates asked if he was considering raising Boyd.

"If I raise he just folds. He could bluff on seventh," Anderson replied as Boyd potentially saved a bet.

Rovira Back For More

Level 7 : Limits 600/1,200, 100 ante

Rafael Rovira: {x-}{x-}/{2-}{9-}{2-}{5-}/{x-}
Opponent: {x-}{x-}/{6-}{q-}{6-}{3-}/{x-}

Rafael Rovira, who was 11th in this event last year in his first Razz tournament ever, is back in the field today and just took down a pot despite making two pair.

Rovira bet on fifth and sixth streets, with a player to his immediate right calling down to seventh. Rovira this time slowed down and checked, and his opponent checked behind.

Rovira turned over {a-}{a-}{6-} for 9-6-5-2-A, and that was enough to take the pot.

Williams Clips Silver in Four-Way Pot

Level 7 : Limits 600/1,200, 100 ante

Jonathan Williams: {x-}{x-}/{6-}{6-}{2-}{k-}/{x-}
Nate Silver: {x-}{x-}/{5-}{9-}{k-}{3-}/{x-}
Mike Brewer: {x-}{x-}/{6-}{10-}{9-}{q-}/{x-}
Opponent: {x-}{x-}/{4-}{7-}{10-} - folded

A player bet on fourth street and was called by Mike Brewer, Nate Silver, and Jonathan Williams. Williams took the lead on fifth, with only Brewer and Silver calling.

On sixth, it was Silver's turn to lead out and both opponents called. The FiveThirtyEight founder bet again on seventh and Williams called, while Brewer gave up his board.

Silver showed {9-}{3-}{4-}, but Williams had {5-}{8-}{q-} to take down the multi-way pot.

Patrick Leonard, who won his first bracelet in the Tag Team event earlier this series, has also taken his seat at this table.
