[Removed:468] Blinded Out; Tan and Creese Still No Show

Level 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Day 2 of the WSOP Main Event for most is an opportunity to continue their journey onwards to bag for Day 3, but unfortunately for some that won't even be an option.

[Removed:468] started the day with 18,000 in chips but never showed up to participate, but his chips were very much in play. After a little more than halfway through the second level, he was blinded out and eliminated from the tournament.

Another couple of players in Bally's Gold Section that have yet to show are Francis Tan and Dick Creese. Tan started the day with 49,400 chips but currently has 30,400 until he is also eliminated. Creese is currently sitting on a similar stack of 26,700 chips.

Randy Sim

2018 Main Event champ John Cynn raised to 2,200 from the button and Randy Sim defended from the big blind.

Sim check-called 2,000 from Cynn on the {6-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{q-Diamonds} flop. The turn brought the {8-Clubs} and Sim checked again.

The TV cameras settled in to watch the action and Cynn bet another 5,800, Sim called.

Sim led out for 11,500 on the {9-Clubs} river and Cynn tank-folded.

Le Runs Into Aces

Level 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Allan Le raised to 6,500 from the big blind before Feng Zhao moved all in for 44,900. Le let out a deep sigh before calling.

Feng Zhao: {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}
Allan Le: {k-Spades}{k-Hearts}

Le's instincts were correct as he had run kings into aces. The {q-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{7-Clubs} flop also gave Zhao a flush draw and left Le looking for one out which didn't come on the {8-Hearts}{10-Clubs} turn and river.

Topic Eliminates One; Loses Next One

Level 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Antun Topic raised to 2,200 in middle position before the player on his left jammed for 14,700. The action folded back around to Topic who went into the tank. "I have a feeling," said Topic.

"Uh oh," a tablemate chimed in.

Eventually Topic made the call and both hands were tabled.

All-in Player: {7-Spades}{7-Diamonds}
Antun Topic: {k-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}

It was a classic race and the {k-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} runout sent the pot to Topic as he eliminated his opponent.

The following hand, Topic raised to 2,200 and Brian Opyrchal three-bet to 6,900. Topic called.

The dealer fanned a flop of {k-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{5-Spades} and Topic quickly check-called a bet of 6,000.

The {a-Clubs} hit and both players checked to the {9-Hearts} river. Topic checked and Opyrchal fired out a bet of 15,000. Topic mulled it over for a moment, then tossed in some chips to call. Opyrchal tabled {a-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} and Topic showed the {k-Spades} as he mucked his second card.

Rast Accumulating

Level 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

On a {k-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{9-Hearts} flop, a middle position player checked, Brian Rast bet 13,000 in the cutoff, and his opponent called.

The {3-Hearts} landed on the turn, and after a check, Rast put in two green T-25,000 chips to cover his opponent's stack of approximately 48,000. His opponent thought about it, but let go of his hand to concede the pot to Rast, who added the chips to his growing stack.

Bai Gets a Fortunate Runout to Bust Two

Level 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Soeren Baekgaard Hansen just relayed details of how his Main Event came to an unfortunate end.

According to Hansen, Richard Bai raised to 2,000 from under the gun before another player re-raised to 15,000. Hansen just called the raise, but Bai shoved all in, having both players covered.

The first raiser called with {q-Clubs}{q-Hearts} and Hansen snap-called for 66,000 with {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs}. Bai had {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades} and was looking for some significant help.

The flop came {5-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}, giving one all-in player top set and Bai the nut flush draw, which he completed on the {4-Diamonds} turn. The river came the {6-Spades} and Bai knocked out both players in a 160,000-chip pot.

Wien Earns Crucial Double

Level 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Jeremy Wien
Jeremy Wien

The under-the-gun player opened to 2,100 and Jeremy Wien flatted in the cutoff. Ali Shojania also called from the button.

The flop came {k-}{j-}{9-} rainbow and the initial aggressor continued for 3,000. Wien raised to 10,500 and Shojania called behind. The under-the-gun player folded.

The turn brought a {4-} and Wien continued for 26,000. Shojania shoved and Wien called, leaving Wien with just 100 chips behind.

Ali Shojania: {k-}{j-}
Jeremy Wien: {9-}{9-}

Wien had a set of nines, crushing Shojania's top two pair heading to the river.

The river brought another {4-}, giving Wien nines full and sending him to 155,000 while eliminating Shojania.
