Treston’s Set Takes Down Big Ace

Level 7 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

A player in early position raised to 2,500 and was called by a player to his immediate left. Benjamin Treston then three-bet to 9,000. The original raiser folded, but the player to his immediate left called.

The flop showed 10Q6, which drew a check from the early-position player. Treston bet 1,000, and his opponent declared a check-raise all in, which Treston immediately called.

Treston: 1010
Opponent: AQ

Treston had middle set, but A on the turn gave his opponent two pair and provided a sweat to the river. The dealer, however, placed 2x on the board to give Treston the pot and send his opponent to the rail.
