Pu Goes Runner-Runner for a Bustout

Level 3 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Weiran Pu
Weiran Pu

A player in the cutoff was all in for around 60,000 and Weiran Pu called in the big blind to put him at risk.

Cutoff: 77
Weiran Pu: AK

Pu hit top pair on the A710, but his opponent made a set and was a big favorite to double up. The 10 turn gave Pu some outs heading to the river, which came the A as the table let out a collective gasp after Pu made a full house.

The all-in player could only smile and tell Pu "good hand" before gathering his things and heading for the rail.

Wilson Running Hot, Cracks Kings for a Bustout

Level 3 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Brock Wilson
Brock Wilson

With around 23,000 in the pot on a board of 42510, Brock Wilson bet 20,000 from the cutoff and an opponent under the gun called.

The river came the 9 and action checked to Wilson, who tossed in four green 25,000 chips, a bet enough to put his opponent all in.

The under-the-gun player used up several of his time banks and tanked for more than two minutes before he stuck in his last chips. Wilson turned over 55 for a set and his opponent flashed KK before getting up from his seat.

"Full house, flush every hand it feels like," tablemate Pedro Bromfman said as Wilson raked in the pot to climb over 400,000.

Oganyan Doubles Through Martirosian

Level 3 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Staring down a J22 flop, Artur Martirosian bet 17,000 from the cutoff into a 50,000 pot. Aram Oganyan put in an all-in reraise to 90,000. Martirosian called and tabled 77. Oganyan turned over KK and joked, 'It's always coming a seven."

But his fears were unfounded on this occasion, as the board ran out 5 9 and he doubled up to 220,000.

Pu Bets Out Young, Hendrix Picks Up a Tell

Level 3 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

With around 25,000 in the pot, Weiran Pu bet 13,000 from the hijack on a board of 59108 and Justin Young called on the button.

The river came the K and Pu fired out 26,500. Young quickly took a last peek at his cards and nodded his head before mucking. "Too good," he told Pu, who is wearing a large pair of sunglasses, after the hand.

"You can see his cards in his sunglasses," tablemate Adam Hendrix added.

"You could totally see his cards," Young replied. "I'm going to test it out this hand. Look at your cards," he continued as Pu silently dragged in the pot.

Negreanu Gets There on the River, Proclaims 2023 a "New Year"

Daniel Negreanu
Daniel Negreanu

Daniel Negreanu was all in for around 30,000 from the big blind and up against button Kevin Rabichow.

Daniel Negreanu: AJ
Kevin Rabichow: QJ

Negreanu had Rabichow dominated heading to the 2Q10 flop, which gave Rabichow top pair and Negreanu a straight draw. The 9 on the turn added some outs for Negreanu to stay alive.

"Eight or a king," Negreanu said, his camera up and running. The dealer turned over the K on the river and Negreanu made his straight to survive.

"2023 is a new year," an exuberant Negreanu said. Rabichow was still smiling as he handed over the pot. "His mental game is on point. Took it like a champ," Negreanu added, pointing his camera at his defeated opponent.

"Was it a flip," Cary Katz asked from another table.

"Ace-jack against queen-jack, so yes," Negreanu replied.

"Mamma Mia"; Lin Shoves on Jaffe

Level 4 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

A massive pile of chips totaling more than 100,000 was already in the middle as Ren Lin and Jonathan Jaffe went heads-up to the river on a board of 7K7J4. Jaffe bet 30,000 before Lin moved all in, having Jaffe's remaining 50,000 covered.

Jaffe gave it some thought before deciding to save his last chips for another hand. "Mamma mia. How can you fold that hand," Lin said as he dragged in the pot.

"I was bluffing with the best hand. Ace-queen," Lin continued as he and Jaffe shared a laugh.
