Greenstein Chips Up

Level 3
Barry Greenstein
Barry Greenstein

A player in the cutoff opened and was called by Barry Greenstein on the button as well as both blinds.

The blinds and cutoff all took one on the first draw while Greenstein opted for two cards. Action then checked to the cutoff who bet, receiving calls from all three opponents.

The second draw saw each of the players take one card before action checked through to the final draw.

All of the players drew one final card before the blinds checked. The cutoff bet, Greenstein called and the two remaining players got out of the way. Greenstein then showed down 963A for nine-six badugi, taking down the pot to move his stack above starting.

Raymer Down Early

Level 2
Greg Raymer
Greg Raymer

Action folded around to Grey Raymer in the small blind and he limp-called a raise by the big blind.

Raymer took two cards on the first draw while the big blind stood pat. The former Main Event champion then checked before calling a bet from his opponent.

On the second draw, Raymer took one card and once again the big blind stood pat. Raymer then check-called a second barrel fired by the big blind.

Raymer drew one more on the final round and unsurprisingly the big blind stood pat. Both players then checked following which the big blind showed down KQ93 for the dealt badugi. Unable to beat that hand, Raymer, who has gotten off to a slow start in the tournament, mucked.

Zhong Does Not Get There

Level 2

A player opened on the button and was called by Yufei Zhong in the big blind.

Both Zhong and the button player took two on the first draw after which action went check-check.

Zhong again drew two on the second draw but this time his opponent only asked for one card. Following the draw, Zhong checked and then called after his opponent bet.

The final draw saw Zhong take one card and the button player stand pat. Both players then checked to showdown with the button player tabling Q932, a hand that Zhong was unable to best.

Kastory Wins Early Pot

Level 2

Yueqi Zhu opened from under the gun and was called by a player on the button, Mark Kastory in the small blind and a player in the big blind.

Kastory drew two as did the big blind and Zhu, while the button stood pat. Following the first draw, Kastory led out, receiving calls from the big blind and Zhu. The button responded by raising and all three of his opponents called.

The second draw saw Kastory, the big blind and Zhu all take one. The button once again stood pat but unlike the previous betting round just called after Kastory fired off another bet and was called by the big blind and Zhu.

On the final draw, Kastory, the big blind and the button all stood pat while Zhu took one last card. Kastory barreled for a third time, receiving calls from the big blind and the button, though Zhu, clearly not satisfied with the result of the last draw, relinquished his holding. Kastory then tabled 6532 for six-five badugi, sufficiently strong to scoop the pot early in the day.
