Thorpe Snaps a Picture

Level 17

Pot-Limit Omaha

"Hold on, let me take a picture in case I die," an all-in Mike Thorpe said as he was heads-up against Frank Muir.

Thorpe was all in for around 35,000 on the turn with the board showing 2Q3K and had QQA10 for a Broadway straight. Muir turned over 6457 for a straight draw.

The river came the J and Thorpe doubled up.

"Just a queen would've been good," a tablemate told Thorpe.

"I didn't know that. PLO is my absolute worst game," Thorpe responded.

Kost tossed 108 onto the table for ten-high, while Laval showed AQ for a winning ace-high.

After Frank Muir raised in the cutoff, "Crazy" Mike Thorpe defended his big blind to see a flop of 34K.

Thorpe check-called a bet from Muir to see the 2 come on the turn and checked again.

Muir bet once more and got a fold from the high-stakes mixed cash game player, who's been seen in several WSOP mixed game tournaments this summer, including a 19th place finish in the $1,500 Limit Omaha 8 or Better.

Level 17

Heads-up on a board of 54Q7, Chip Jett bet 30,000 from the big blind as action went on Allan Le on the button.

Le announced pot for 132,000 and Jett, with around 100,000 remaining, tanked for a moment before folding.

Kessler Not Pleased as Mostoel Catches Him on River

Level 17
Allen Kessler
Allen Kessler

Limit Omaha 8 or Better

Bets were in front of Allen Kessler and Thor William Morstoel with a completed board of 648KA.

Kessler was in early position and called a river bet from Morstoel, but he wasn't happy about it.

Morstoel showed AK53 for top two pair and a six-five low.

Kessler bemoaned his bad fortune, showing A2, with his nut low counterfeited on the river by Morstoel, who ended up scooping the pot away from the "Chainsaw"
