With a K♣A♠9♠ flop out, the turn came the 8♣ and Dave Thurston bet 30,000. He was called by Robert Capote in the hijack.
The river was the 8♥ and Thurston quickly bet again, putting out 155,000. The at-risk Capote went into the tank and after some pained expressions eventually called.
Both players turned over an ace and shared the spoils.

With the board showing 7♣4♥J♥10♥9♥ Thang Tran was put all in by Daniel Weinman.
After a short think, Tran exclaimed, "Ah man, I slow-played!" before calling off his 269,000 chips. He turned over JxJx and took down the pot, propelling him up the leaderboard.
A player in late position opened to 12,000 and Ryan Peters went all-in from the Button for just over 90,000. The player in the big blind called, putting Peters at risk and the player in late position got out of the way making it heads up to a flop.
Peters: 2♠2♦
Button: 7♠7♣
Peters was in bad shape against the better pocket pair, and the 3♣4♦6♥ provided no help. When the 8♣ came on the turn Peters had already stood up from his seat and was ready to leave. That changed quickly when the river came the 2♥. Peters had spiked a set on the river to score the double up over his opponent's higher pocket pair.
All of the action happened preflop when the player in middle position raised and Tim Salangsang in the small blind reraised all in for 120,000 and middle position called.
The board ran out 6♦Q♥8♠K♣10♠ and the middle position player showed A♠Q♠ and Salangsang showed Q♦10♦.
Salangsang won the pot with two pair and nearly doubled his stack.
A player in early position opened to 10,000 and received a call from Geremy Reiner in the big blind.
Reiner checked on the 4♠7♠K♠ flop and then called a 5,000 bet from the player in early position.
On the 6♠ turn Reiner bet 25,000 and his opponent called in position.
The river was the K♣. Reiner checked and his opponent pushed forward a stack of red chips worth 100,000. Reiner quickly moved all-in sending his opponent into the tank. After some consideration the early position player folded. Reiner dragged in a massive pot without having to go to showdown and is now sitting on one of the biggest chip stacks in the room.
After a raise from early position and a call from the small blind, Matt Glantz came along in the big blind to see the A♣7♣4♠ flop.
The small blind's bet of 10,000 was called by Glantz, while the early position player folded. Another 10,000 bet from the small blind followed the 6♣ turn, with Glantz taking a moment before sliding out a raise to 35,000.
The small blind did not take long to fold, giving Glantz a nice pot to add to his growing stack.
