The cutoff raised to 7,000 and Armah David called from the small blind. The big blind followed suit and the flop came 9♣A♦Q♠. Both blinds checked and the cutoff bet 10,000. David called and the big blind folded.

The turn saw the 10♣ and David went all in for 56,000. The cutoff called for less.

The K♠ river was no help to his opponent and David raked in the pot.

Konnikova Flops the World

In another hand told by the table, a late position player limped and the small blind called. Maria Konnikova checked her option from the big blind, holding 6x7x and saw a flop of 6x6x7x. Both blinds checked, late position bet 5,000 and got two calls. Late position bet another 10,000 on a Kx turn and it folded to Konnikova who raised to 25,000. Her opponent went all in and Konnikova called.

Kay Building a Massive Stack

Josh Kay opened to 5,500 from early position and received calls from both the small blind and big blind.

The small blind checked on the Q♦9♠A♠ flop and the big blind bet 14,500. Kay raised enough to put his opponent all in and the big blind made the call.

Both players had flopped top-pair but Kay held the superior kicker. The turn 10♠ and river 4♦ brought no help to the at risk player who was eliminated. Kay scooped the pot and is now one of the bigger stacks in the room sitting at 285,000.

Plum Loses Short Stack

Wilnor Lundi moved all-in from early position and the action folded around the Kelsey Plum in the big blind. Plum committed her remaining single 1,000 chip and was looking for the double up.

The table wished both players good luck as the board was dealt. Plum could not connect on the 6♦3♦2♦ flop and was drawing dead after the Q♦ turn completed Lundi's flush. The river 3♣ completed the board, with Plum shaking hands after being eliminated.

Plum Plummets to Short Stack

With 28,000 in the middle, the board read K♦7♠K♣J♥.

Yong Chen was sitting in the big blind and decided to bet 13,000 for Kelsey Plum to make the call from the hijack.

The A♣ completed the board and Chen looked at his cards again before betting 10,000 for Plum to call immediately. Chen tabled the A♥K♠ for the flopped trip kings and the rivered full house.

Plum mucked, leaving her with a mere 5,000 after playing her first hand of the day.

The early position player was in trouble with 5♥5♦ as Vetters had the superior set with 7♣7♥.

The board ran out 5♠6♠ and despite hitting his set, the early position player was knocked out leaving Vetters with a healthy stack.
