With a pot of about 60,000, Vic Peppe announced he was all in for 35,800, on the board of 10♠4♦9♦8♣, laying his tournament life on the line. After tanking for a minute or two, his opponent elected to call. Peppe flipped over J♠Q♦ showing his nut straight while his opponent was drawing to four outs with 10♣9♣.

Fortunately for Peppe, the river changed nothing as a 6♣ appeared allowing him to scoop the pot. With this chip up, Peppe now sits pretty with 131,600 chips at the break.

Gini had A♠K♥ and the opponent had 7♦7♥. Gini took down the pot with top pair.

Gini then stated that "AK is always Brazil" and one of his opponents had said that he had "lost already with AK two times" so he was not sure how true that statement was.

The flop was 3♥10♠8♣ and the cutoff bet 5,200. Autran called, while the big blind tossed in his cards.

The turn brought 7♥ and both players checked.

The cutoff shoved his remaining stack in on the river K♥ and Autran called immediately with Kx8x, holding a better two pair than the cutoff who flashed Kx7x.

The turn was the A♠, allowing any Jack or paired hand to make a full house. Once again, Allard checked leading to his opponent to bet 5,000 into the pot. After little time, Allard found a call to the river.

Nothing changed on the river, as a 10♥ only added one more full house. Both Allard and his opponent checked it down, resulting in Allard showing A♥2♦ for the nuts and quads before the break. With this pot, Allard's stack increased to the tune of 131,700.

Depaulo wasted little time before check-raising to 13,000. To the table's surprise, the middle position player then cold three-bet jammed. The button got out of the way and Depaulo announced a call after a brief moment.

"Never seen a fairer fight," exclaimed Depaulo.

The turn K♥ was no help for Depaulo, but the 6♥ river gave him the nut straight to eliminate his opponent.
