Johnson Spikes River to Bust Klodnicki

Level 15
Chris Klodnicki
Chris Klodnicki

Limit Hold'em

Marco Johnson opened on the button and then called after Chris Klodnicki three-bet out of the small blind.

Klodnicki continued on a flop of 7J6. Johnson responded with a raise only to see Klodnicki move the remainder of his chips into the middle. Not needing to call much more, Johnson duly put his opponent at risk.

Chris Klodnicki: KJ
Marco Johnson: A7

Klodnicki was in excellent position to secure a full double, needing to fade a non-spade ace or seven. The 8 turn changed nothing but the A river was a dagger to Klodnicki, sending him to the rail short of the money.

Dehkharghani Cannot Bounce Hellmuth

Level 15

Limit Hold'em

Phil Hellmuth raised from under the gun and earned a customer in Ray Dehkharghani out of the big blind. On a 642 flop, Dehkharghani checked and Hellmuth bet to earn a call. That led them to the 4 turn on which Dehkharghani checked again.

Hellmuth bet with two full bets behind and Dehkharghani eyeballed his stack before raising, then called the all-in of Hellmuth.

Phil Hellmuth: JJ
Ray Dehkharghani: A8

The river was the K and Hellmuth doubled his short stack once more.

Stud Hi-Lo

Kristopher Tong: XxXx/87QA
Josh Arieh: XxXx/J54Q - folded sixth street
Hal Rotholz: XxXx/4J - folded fourth street
Dzmitry Urbanovich: XxXx/102 - folded fourth street

After Hal Rotholz brought it in, Kristopher Tong, Josh Arieh, and Dzmitry Urbanovich all limped in behind, leading ta a four-way fourth street.

Action was checked to Tong who had the only two-card low showing and he bet. This got folds from Urbanovich and Rotholz, but Arieh stuck around with a call.

On fifth street, Tong now checked to Arieh, who bet, with Tong calling to see sixth street. Picking up an ace, Tong now bet first with Arieh not loving the developments on that street and opting to fold his hand.

Alaei Chips Up at the Expense of Monnette

Level 15

No-Limit 2-7 Single Draw

What had kicked off as a single-raised three-way pot with Daniel Alaei as the pre-draw aggressor, picking up calls from Ray Dehkharghani on the button and John Monnette, ended up in a set-back for the latter. The draw had been completed already with Monnette and Alaei both having discarded one. Monnette led for 60,000, Alaei raised to 225,000 for Dehkharghani to fold and Monnette instantly called.

Monnette was shown the 8x6x5x4x3x and mucked his 8x7x4x3x2x.

Urbanovich and Tong Clash in Three-Bet Pot, Urbanovich Left Short

Level 15
Kristopher Tong
Kristopher Tong

2-7 Triple Draw

Kristopher Tong raised from middle position and was three-bet by Dzmitry Urbanovich on the button. Tong made the call and drew three to Urbanovich's one, then check-raised a bet from Urbanovich after the first draw.

Tong was pat and Urbanovich drew one. The second betting round saw Tong bet, Urbanovich raise and Tong three-bet, with Urbanovich calling.

Both players were pat on the final draw and Tong bet. Urbanovich would again put in a raise and Tong would again put in a three-bet, but this time Urbanovich would make the fold, leaving him with under 200,000 left in chips.

Urbanovich Eliminated by Arieh

Level 15
Dzmitry Urbanovich
Dzmitry Urbanovich

Limit 2-7 Triple Draw

Josh Arieh raised in the hijack and a short-stacked Dzmitry Urbanovich put in a three-bet from the cutoff. Arieh called and then drew two to Urbanovich's one.

Arieh then check-raised a bet from Urbanovich, and the Polish star called, leaving just 40,000 back.

After they each drew one, Arieh bet, and Urbanovich called to put himself at risk, then the players revealed their hands.

Dzmitry Urbanovich: 5x4x3x2x/Xx
Josh Arieh: 8x7x6x2x/Xx

Arieh showed first and revealed a king, meaning anything but an ace, pair, or six would keep Urbanovich alive.

Unfortunately for him, he drew a 6x, giving him a straight to end his day shy of the money, leaving 17 players in the field.

Last Pot Before Dinner to Alaei

Level 15

Stud Hi-Lo

Daniel Alaei: XxXx / 3467 / Xx
Ray Dehkharghani: XxXx / 28410 / Xx

Daniel Alaei bet from fifth to seventh street and earned two rather swift calls from Ray Dehkharghani as the clock ran down for level 13. On seventh street, Alaei bet once more and Dehkharghani then suddenly went deep into the tank. More than six minutes passed before he sigh-folded and went into his now shortened dinner break.
