Heimiller Whiffs Everything to Bust

Level 9

Big O

Heads-up on a flop of K2A, Dan Heimiller bet from the cutoff before Joshua Steiner, on the button, raised enough to put Heimiller all in. Heimiller called for his last 18,500.

Dan Heimiller: A8543
Joshua Steiner: KKQ106

Steiner had flopped a set, while Heimiller was looking to make a low. The board ran out 99 and Heimiller missed everything as Steiner finished with a full house to send Heimiller to the rail.

Anderson and Rheem Each Take Half

Level 9

Omaha Hi-Lo

Scott Anderson limped from under the gun with the player to his left limping as well. The button and small blind did the same before Chino Rheem raised it from the big blind. All four players called and took the Q62 flop five ways.

The small blind player checked to Rheem who continued with a bet that was met with a raise from Anderson. Only the small blind and Rheem called as three players took the 4 turn.

The small blind player and Rheem both checked to see Anderson put the rest of his chips in with both the small blind and Rheem calling again to see the river come the 3.

Rheem bet when checked to and the small blind check-called and all three tabled their cards.

Rheem showed the AK54 for the wheel which was good enough to collect the extra bet he got from the player in the small blind, but the wheel was only good for the low versus Anderson as he tabled A643 for the nut flush which was good for the high half of the main pot as Rheem took the low.

Vonk Sends Out Two

Level 9

Big O

A player in the big blind was already all in as Marcel Vonk had a bet of 17,000 in front of him on a flop of AQ9. Another opponent on the button tanked before calling for their last 16,000.

Big Blind: A1072Xx
Button: A10432
Marcel Vonk: A9432

Vonk was ahead with two pair as the board ran out 6J, sending both of his opponents to the rail.

According to tablemates Kenneth Po and Brad Ruben, Vonk had raised to 1,000 and Ruben and the button called before the big blind potted to 5,000. Vonk reraised to 17,600 and only the button and small blind called.

"Did I Just Beat A Legend or Something?"

Level 9

Omaha Hi-Lo

PokerNews picked up the action after a check-call by Fred Bell on a completed board of 22A7J.

With the cards on their backs, Bell's opponent was showing the KJ52 for a full house, but much to the surprise of tablemate Ted Forrest, Bell had check-called the river with the nut full house holding the AAQ3 to win the whole pot as his opponent had no qualifying low.

As PokerNews walked away from the table, with a big smile on his face, Forrest, who was not in the hand, said, "Check-called aces full on fifth street." in an attempt to make sure that we got the very surprising fifth street action correct.

As we asked for Bell's name, he assumed he had beat a legend out of a pot, but the table agreed pretty quickly that even at a table with Ted Forrest, Bell was the legend.

Chen Can't Blow Korn Off Kings

Level 10

Pot-Limit Omaha Hi-Lo

Andres Korn raised to 1,000 from under the gun and James Chen, runner-up to Ben Lamb in the $10,000 Omaha Hi-Lo Championship earlier this series, called in the small blind.

Both players checked the 667 flop before Chen led out for 2,000 on the 6 turn. Korn called as the J fell on the river.

Chen now bet 5,000 and Korn called. Chen turned over A543 for just ace-high and a missed straight draw, while Korn had KK73 to take the pot.

Negreanu Busts Again, For Good This Time

Level 10

Big O

Daniel Negreanu reentered after being knocked down to just 200 earlier, but his second bullet wouldn't last much longer.

Negreanu was all in for around 9,000 from early position and up against Philip Sternheimer on the button.

Daniel Negreanu: A9873
Philip Sternheimer: A101095

The board ran out 210JJK and Sternheimer finished with a full house.

"I guess it's the $3,000 No-Limit Hold'em for me. This tournament didn't work out," Negreanu said as he and his camera headed for the door.
