Rough Start for Glaser

Level 3

Badugi

Benny Glaser was on the verge of an early reentry, after getting short by losing a No-Limit Hold 'em flip to David "ODB" Baker, then trying to get some back versus John Monnette in Badugi.

After exchanging raises pre-draw, Glaser drew one card from the big blind while Monnette patted in the cutoff. Glaser check-called a bet, then drew one again, while Monnette stayed pat.

Glaser then check-called another bet after the second draw and drew one again with Monnette remaining pat.

After that, Glaser checked a final time and faced one more bet from Monnette which he had to fold to, leaving himself with just 1,300 chips which disappeared shortly after, likely sending him back to the registration desk.

Chait Sends Gunness Back to Registration

Level 3

Pot-Limit Omaha 8 or Better

Paul Gunness was recently spotted heading to the registration desk, but he and his executioner, Craig Chait, kindly gave PokerNews the details of their clash.

As told by the players, On a turn board of Jx10x6x3x, Gunness bet 2,500 holding Jx3xXxXx and got raised to 10,000 by Chait who held AxKxQx8x with a flush draw and a wrap. Gunness moved in for a bit more with his two pair and Chait called.

An offsuit 9x came on the river to give Chait his straight and send Gunness off for his one allowed reentry.

Chad Chatty as Ever

Level 3

Omaha Hi-Lo

Table 41 has the distinction of being where the dulcet tones of WSOP broadcasting legend Norman Chad can be found.

Chad raised on the button and got a call from the big blind, prompting the playful declaration from Chad "You'll rue the day you made that call!"

On a flop of A46, the big blind checked, Chad bet, and his opponent folded, minimally rueing the hand by only losing the one extra small bet.
