Orod Ashegh had already vaulted out of his chair when he was all-in and at risk over on table 672 against Benoit Galland with the flop showing J♦8♣2♣

Benoit Galland: A♦A♣7♣7♠

Ashegh was ahead with two pair and an open-ender while Galland was hoping for clubs. The 6♠ turn was a blank but the 2♠ river counterfeited the two pair of Ashegh. "I am so lucky," Galland admitted as he raked in the pot.

The field is now down to the last 24 players and they will redraw to the final three tables.

Four ways to the A♦8♣4♣7♦ turn, Sebastian Trisch was all-in for 270,000. Kosei Ichinose and Ren Lin folded while Peng Shan called.

The board completed with the 8♦ river and Trisch doubled with eights full of fours.

Over on table 678, Bogdan Capitan bet the K♣8♥8♦ flop for 75,000 and Elliott Kampen check-called. Kampen jammed the 5♦ turn and Capitan called.

The 2♣ river ensured the double for Kampen and Capitan was left short.

Orod Ashegh in middle position was all in and at risk against Edmund Chan in the hijack.

The board ran out 10♥2♦4♠A♦9♦. Ashegh's top set earned him the double up and left Chan to his last 50,000 chips.

Chan was under the gun the very next hand and moved all in. The jam of 50,000 was called by the hijack, button, small blind and big blind.

The flop of 5♦10♥Q♠ checked through to the 3♥ on the turn. Ap Garza, from the small blind, managed to whittle the players in the hand to just Chan and the cards were on their backs.

The river came the 5♠ sending Chan to the rail in dramatic fashion.

Bunal Doubles Through Lau

Ka Kwan Lau opened preflop action by raising to 140,000 under the gun. Florencio Bunal, in middle position, then announced he was betting the pot, which the dealer counted out as 495,000. Lau made the call.

The flop came 4♦4♥7♦, and the remaining chips of Bunal made their way to the center of the table.

Florencio Bunal: A♦A♠10♠6♥
Ka Kwan Lau: A♣Q♣10♦8♦

The turn was a 5♥, meaning Lau was looking for a fifth diamond. A harmless Q♥ came on the river, and Bunal circled the table while celebrating.

Helppi Helps Himself to a Double

Juha Helppi had joked with Bogdan Capitan when the Romanian came over to confirm his double-up and the Finn followed suit soon after.

"I will win this thing," Helppi replied before Capitan walked back to his seat.

Around two minutes later, Helppi was all-in with a stack of fewer than ten big blinds and tabled the K♠9♥6♣5♣. He was up against the A♣K♦K♥2♠ of Peng Shan and got there thanks to the 8♣7♥2♣6♠A♥ runout.

Adam Hendrix raised to 80,000 from the big blind. Florencio Bunal, who had initially limped in, called from the small blind.

The flop came 8♦6♥A♠, and both players checked. Bunal also checked the Q♠ turn before calling a bet of 160,000 from Hendrix.

Bunal checked in the dark before the 7♦ river arrived. Hendrix put out a bet of 560,000, and Bunal went into the tank.

Bunal considered his options for a couple of minutes. He decided to show Q♦9♣7♣6♦ as he folded.

"I would have called," said another player at the table.

"It's a 10k, he's not bluffing," laughed Bunal.

The board read 2♣4♥9♣ with two players remaining in the hand.

Dimitar Danchev bet out for 180,000, which was called by Oswin Ziegelbecker in the hijack.

The J♣ slowed down Danchev as he check-called a bet of 250,000 from Ziegelbecker.

The A♦ on the river saw a repeat of the action, this time Ziegelbecker jammed all in for 930,000. Danchev went into the tank before finally deciding to fold.
