Poker Hall of Famer and seven-time bracelet winner Billy Baxter is on the verge of closing in on his first WSOP bracelet in 21 years after making it to the final table of the $1,000 Seniors Event at the 2023 World Series of Poker.

Baxter, who sits in third place going into the final day, has had a career that has spanned six decades and has seen him earn $2,739,628 in live tournaments alone. And he's already locked up another $122,130 for making it to the final seven. If he manages to make it to at least fourth place, he will secure his biggest-ever tournament cash. Just another remarkable achievement for one of the legends of the game.

Most of the table had already left for dinner break as Scott Seiver bet on fourth street and Brian Yoon called.

Seiver continued betting down to seventh as Yoon called on each street.

Seiver bet dark on seventh and Yoon paused for a moment before folding. Seiver showed him the A♠6♠ before joining his tablemates on dinner.

After Alex Livingston completed Mike Gorodinsky's bring-in, Brad Ruben called and Gorodinsky folded.

Livingston check-called a bet on fourth street from Ruben and then again on fifth and sixth as well.

The players checked seventh street with Ruben showing two pair, eights and sixes for the winner.

Mike Gorodinsky completed on third street and Scott Seiver raised. Esther Taylor called, as did Gorodinskky.

Seiver put out more bets on fourth and fifth. Gorodinsky called on both streets, while Taylor got out of the way on fifth.

Seiver bet again on sixth and Gorodinsky folded this time as Seiver showed 6x2x.

A few hands later, Seiver got involved in another pot, this time against Brad Ruben.

Ruben completed, Seiver raised, and Ruben called on third. Seiver bet again on fourth before both players checked on fifth.

Seiver resumed betting on sixth and Ruben called. Ruben also called on seventh and Seiver turned over AxQx5x for 8-5-4-2-A to win another pot.

"Scott running over the nine-handed table," Gorodinsky observed.

A short-stacked David "Bakes" Baker called bets from Brian Yoon until he was all in on sixth holding a pair of aces and a wheel draw. While he made his wheel in the end, it wasn't good enough to beat Yoon's flush, eliminating him in tenth place to set up the unofficial final table.

"Wow? What does wow mean," Alex Livingston asked as he called.

On fifth, Hellmuth bet, Livingston raised, and Hellmuth called all in.

Livingston ended up with Kx9x8x5x5x2xAx for 9-8-5-2-A. Hellmuth had 10x7x7x5x4xAx showing by seventh, but drew the Jx that sealed his elimination.

"It's so unfair. I draw circles around everybody," a steamed Hellmuth said as he left the table to a round of applause from the rail.

Gorodinsky turned over 8♦7♦7♠ for a full house and Drinan quickly mucked his board and headed for the rail while Gorodinsky raked in the massive pot.
