Celaya Doubles Up Through Armbrust
Level 30
: Limits 100,000/200,000, 0 ante
John Celaya found himself as the short stack when action resumed in Level 31, but found a good spot to get in his chips.
John Armbrust, the second biggest stack at the table, raised preflop with J♠J♥. Action folded to Celaya, who was in the big blind with K♥Q♦ and made the call.
The flop of Q♣10♦9♠ brought fireworks after Celaya checked. Armbrust bet, then Celaya check-raised. Armbrust responded with a re-raise with an open-ended straight, and Celaya moved all in and ahead with top pair.
The 6♥ came on the turn, followed by 3♥ on the river to give Celaya the win.
