Klein’s Triple-Barrel Bets Strong Enough to Take Down Pot

Level 7 : Limits 600/1,200, 0 ante
Bill Klein
Bill Klein

Bill Klein, who recently scored an 18th-place finish in the WSOP High-Roller (6-handed) event, made an immediate splash after the second break of his current tournament.

Klein was on the button and squared off against the player in the small blind and a player under the gun on a flop of 710J. The action checked to Klein, who bet and saw both of his opponents quickly make calls.

The turn produced 4 and once again checks from the other two out-of-position players, and Klein placed another bet, which his opponents called. The dealer placed 6 on the board, putting either a possible flush or two straights in any of the players’ hands.

But checks from the players in the small blind and under the gun opened the door for Klein to make a third bet, which led to folds from each of his opponent.

Friesen: "They're Not Laughing Now!"

Level 7 : Limits 600/1,200, 0 ante

Trevor Friesen told PokerNews he had been "getting my *ss kicked" since he had been moved to a new table. But a series of big hands rebuilt his stack.

"They were laughing at me before... But they're not laughing now." With cashes in three previous WSOP limit hold 'em events, perhaps soon no one will be laughing at Friesen.

Brett Shakes Off Check-Raise to Win Pot

Level 6 : Limits 600/1,200, 0 ante

Nancy Brett raised in early position and was called by the two blinds.

The blinds checked their respective options on a flop of J27, putting the action on Brett, who made the continuation bet.

After the player in the small blind quickly folded, the player in the big blind paused for a few seconds to look at his opponent before making a check-raise bet, which Brett didn’t hesitate to call.

The dealer placed 5 on the turn, which Brett’s opponent checked. With action back to her, Brett didn’t hesitate and made a bet.

The big blind folded and Brett was awarded the pot.

Dilschneider Gets Multiple Streets While Multi-Tabling

Level 6 : Limits 600/1,200, 0 ante

Action folded to the button who raised only to see Kyle Dilschneider three-bet from the small blind. The button tossed in a call to see a flop of 1052.

Dilschneider continued with a bet which was quickly met with a call.

The turn brought the Q which prompted a quick check from Dilschneider as the player on the button put out a bet and Dilschneider check-raised, quickly getting a call from his opponent before the dealer put out the A on the river.

Dilschneider opted to lead this time and quickly got called before turning up QQ. His opponent mucked and the dealer pushed the pot towards Dilschneider as he also took down a pot in the $333 WSOP Online event.
