Montehermoso Finds a Straight
Level 2
: Blinds 200/300, 300 ante
A player in the hijack raised to 1,200 preflop, with Jose Montehermoso calling from the big blind. A player from early position, who had previously limped, also came along.
Action checked to the hijack on the J♣9♠J♥, and she led out for 1,200. Montehermoso was the only caller.
The 3♠ turn saw the hijack bet 4,000, with Montehermoso check-calling.
Montehermoso also checked the Q♥ river. The hijack considered her options for a moment before checking. "I have a jack," she said. Montehermoso turned over 10♣8♣ for a rivered straight to take down the pot.
