Viet Vo: A8

"Eight of diamonds, that's what I want!" VO declared, and just like that, the flop came out 38K to give him exactly what he asked for to take the lead. Alkami just shook his head as the board ran out Q2 to seal his fate and he was eliminated.

Level 19 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Action was picked up on the turn between Jon "Apestyles" Van Fleet in first position, and another player in the cutoff.

The board read Q9410 and Van Fleet bet 40,000 which his opponent called.

On the river 6, Van Fleet bet 110,000 and his opponent asked how many green 25k chips he had behind, which Van Fleet showed was six. His opponent raised to 290,000 and Van Fleet called after a few seconds.

The cutoff turned over 88 for a pair of eights, which was second best against Van Fleet's AQ for top pair, which was good for the pot to push Van Fleet up the chip counts.

Daring Call by Dean

Level 19 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

On a heads-up completed board of 587K3, there was around 200,000 in the pot when Andrew Dean was faced with a 100,000 bet from his opponent.

Dean only had around 110,000 left in his stack so his decision was essentially for his tournament life and he went into the tank for some time.

After a while, his opponent called the clock on him and he was given a 30-second shot clock. As his timer neared zero, he made the call at the last second and was shown Q6 for queen-high by his opponent. Dean then proudly flipped over JJ for just a pair of jacks to win the pot.

"Nice call man," his opponent told him, "I thought you were going to let the time expire,"

"Yeah, it was a tough spot," Dean replied as he raked in the pot for a double up while his opponent was then the one left short and ended up busted a few hands later.
