Dinner Time

Level 3 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

All players have 75 minutes to consume a meal of their choosing. When they come back at roughly 8 p.m. local time, play will continue in Level 4, the penultimate level of the day.

In the meantime, check out some highlights of Level 3 below.

Steel Calls Correctly

Level 3 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

With the board already reading A710, the turn came the 9. A player in middle position bet and was called by Damien Steel in the small blind.

The river fell a 5 and middle position fired again, with a roughly pot-sized bet of 5,300.

Steel called and his opponent showed QJ. Steel turned over K10 and his pair of tens claimed the pot.

Martini's Boat Gets Called by Ace-High

Level 3 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

Julien Martini was heads-up with Paul Serrate with a completed board of 85533 spread across the felt. There was around 25,000 in the middle and Serrate checked to Martini who shoved all in as the bigger stack.

Serrate was sitting on a stack of 53,000 and had a decision to make for his tournament life. "I want to call you with ace-high," he said to Martini but got no reaction. Three minutes passed by and Serrate agonized some more before making the call.

Martini rolled over 88 for a full house which made Serrate throw his A10 face up in disgust before exiting the tournament area.

Rowe Gets Aggressive

Level 3 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

There was a early position open to 1,000. He got a call from middle position, the button, and Hugh Rowe in the small blind.

The flop landed K7Q and action checked the whole way through.

The turn brought a 4 and action checked to the middle position player who bet 3,000. The button called and action was on Rowe in the small blind. Rowe gathered some chips and put in the check-raise to 8,000.

The rest of the players all sat in the tank for a moment but each one came to the same conclusion. Fold.

Rowe scooped to get back closer to starting stack.

Trips For Lofaso

Level 3 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

From middle position, Dennis Wiley placed a single 1,000 chip in front of him but didn't say "raise", so his bet was considered a limp. Robert Lofaso in the cutoff limped after him, as well as Alan Goasdoue on the button. The big blind checked.

Everybody checked on the flop K5A. Then on the turn 4, Lofaso bet 1,300. He was called by Goasdoue and Wiley.

The river brought the A, and all three players checked. Wiley thought he had the win with 1010. But it was Lofaso who took the pot as he had A6 for a set of aces.
